nothing managing to land at Edinburgh yet planes still taking off from London heading to edi which I can't understand. If thought was dying down soon planes wouldn't be diverting to Germany from Edi.... amazing to see a plane take off from Shannon for a 40 min flight to edi and gonna end up on a plane for 2 and a quarter hours and land in cologne
Haha I am addicted to the flight radar app tonight. After two attempts to land it looks like the London to Edinburgh will now try to land in Belfast. There are more flights inbound, I hate flying and I am glad I am not on one of those planes tonight. Must be tough for the pilots.

Flight from Seville to Edinburgh has had a change of plan by looks of it, no idea where it's heading as climbed back up to 33,000 feet and out over the North Sea.
That’s crazy, looks like it’s heading to Cologne.

My parents have lost a couple of fence panels and part of their conservatory roof is damaged allowing rain to get in. I am glad I am off work this week so hopefully I can get everything repaired but looks like another storm is possible on Tuesday

The lights have also been starting to flicker away here over the last 15 mins. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of us lose power tonight.

High tide down the Ayrshire coast is around 9pm tonight just as the strongest winds are due to arrive. I imagine there will be some pretty big waves, too bad it will be dark and won’t be able to see much but on the plus side the storm is due to be at its worst when not many people are out and about.

What a big let down today was for here. I have always experienced decent snow events in February and March so winter is not over yet. Well done to everyone who has snow, I am enjoying the pictures

Great reports and pictures, it's great to see you guys up north getting some snow already. I am still not sure what to expect here just outside of Glasgow this week. Rain, sleet or snow? I guess it’s a matter of waiting to see what falls from the sky.

Looking forward to the cold weather over the coming week. Very hard to forecast where any snow will fall, I think it will be a matter of looking at the radar as anything can pop up at the last minute out of nowhere in these situations. It certainly looks like the north west will get a good amount of snow but fingers crossed we all see something decent over the coming days before the Atlantic fires up.

As long as we can get one decent snow event here in Scotland next week and for the snow to stay on the ground for a few days then I will be happy

Yes the 06z looking really good for us in Scotland. The Highlands will be buried if it comes off. The charts are changing each run in terms of snowfall but one things for sure is that it will be turning very cold next week and as you said anything can pop up out of nowhere.
Exciting times ahead I feel

The charts are all over the place at the moment regarding the possible cold and snow next week. I do still think that many of us will see a good dumping over the next couple of weeks, we are long overdue a good snow event.
