Well that's disappointing.... Not a single flake fell last night. Guess the weather warning were spot on ?
-
We've been right on the edge of all the yellow/amber warnings but we've done quite well. Expectations were low though. I have a feeling this next band will swing west before it really reaches us. Fingers crossed for you all.

it is???
Yep, its very light and not settling...yet.
Temp is 0.4 and DP -0.3
-
Definitely snow here in Kempston, it just very light...
-
I think its starting to snow here, i can see a light from the office window, its either big drips of water or snow.....very very light though.
-
Winds now swinging down from the north, temps and DP's falling accordingly (1.8 and 1.0). Not much in the way of precipitation at the moment.
-
Temp and DP holding at around 2.3 and 1.5 respectively (Ampthill weather station)
I get the impression that Milton Keynes and Bedford are right on the cusp for getting snow. If we're going to see anything then it will be from around 17:00 onwards.
-
Ampthill weather station now show Temp 2.6 DP 1.7
-
Showing temp 4.2 and DP 3.0 in Ampthill.
-
Not entirely sure how that missed us, storms to the north and storms to the south, now it all seems to be moving East
-
Kinda gutted with this setup, I've been waiting years for a proper plume to hit, unfortunately i'm driving down to Spain tomorrow, looks as though i'll just miss all the action in the UK and France.
Oh well, hopefully everyone will get a bit.

It’s gone eerily quiet here, no rain or wind, just the odd distant rumble. The atmosphere feels electric.
-
BOOM! Lightning must have just hit across the road from me!
That woke everyone up!

Started raining here, its starting to look like things might kick off soon....
-
Big non-event here! 5-10cm?? I know its hard forecasting events like this but we're not even close, no lying snow apart from a dusting on some roofs and fences.
Its a winter that has promised much but delivered very little in the end.
-
Disappointing event here, roads and pavements were going white, now its just a grey slush. Snow is still falling but its not really settling.
I thought i was in the sweet spot, 5-10cm? Will be lucky to get 1cm.....
-
Small flakes falling here, only just settling. Seems to be the year of small snow flakes, can't remember the last time i saw a 50p flake. Hoping for more later.....
-
Still snowing here, still only have around 1cm to show for it, literally down the road in MK they have had inches of the stuff. Fine margins and unfortunately there are winners and losers. Hopefully Sunday's event will turn out better for those that missed out today.
-
Slowing to a stop now, even though the radar is showing snow all around....been a frustrating day, well below estimated minimum totals. Got around 1cm in the 'drifts'. Nowhere near enough to build a snowman with the kids, kind of gutted but I'm sure I'm not the only one.
-
It's very deceiving, we've had almost constant small flakes falling since 9:30ish and even though its settling it not amounting to much. Not sure if I've been staring at the radar to long but it looks like the showers are pepping up a little?
-
Proper flakes now, some of them are nearly 20p size! Might have enough for a snowball if this keeps up!
-
Snowing very slightly heavier here, still very small flakes....I feel for you peeps in the east, its painfully slow moving!
-
Well, we might not be in the prime location to get the heaviest snow, but we are well placed for the longevity of it, and we're currently well placed for Sunday's snow event too. Still light snow falling, maybe 1cm so far.

Fairly moderate snow falling here, roads are getting covered again.
