Very fat fluffy snowflakes here in south east london. If only it could have done this on xmas day.
-
Dandruff getting thicker, need head and shoulders now
-
I have dandruff flying around, not sure it counts as a snow flurry.

As anyone complaining about gardening, its really not that bad, i spent most the day out there last weekend and alot of the easter weekend, just gotta get moving and its fine, man up everyone
Too cold for gardening here wind chill -2 no fun in that. It also depends on your age and health.
The soil is too wet and cold to sow seeds outside, so I'm sticking to inside sowings and armchair gardening till it gets to feel like +7c.
My toms and chillis are loving the sun from the safety of the south facing window, they've really perked up over the last 48 hours.

It was lovely to wake up to clear blue skies and a big yellow ball in the sky this morning, really lifts the spirits.
I was at mums on the coast yesterday (new romney area) and in Sainsburys a tannoy announcement was made ' we would like to inform all customers and staff that a big yellow thing is in the sky, long may it stay!

Snowing here for a while, settled on everything except the roads and pavements. Seems to be mainly horizontal from the east.
Off out to the theatre tonight so if it could stop by then I'd be grateful.

Am I the only one who's had enough of cold snowy weather? I need some warm sunny days now.
-
Having checked netweather, bbc, met office, weather outlook and metcheck I have a met office warning of london snow but rain in their forecast everyone else's along with an hour or 2 of sleet, which is a shame as it totals 14mm of rain.
That would have been a lot of snow at one go for here.
-
I had 4" of snow here which for south east london is good so I'm happy. Having lived in SE London since '62 I've seen a lot of winters and as gas is so high now I'm pleased to see just a little snow with out it going on and on these days.
Those that hark back to times of heavier snow have either not experienced them before or have more money than me to spend heating my home.

I'm off Harold Road.
Very nice there, and about a mile from me.
-
Fairly heavy snow in Crystal Palace.
This is after 10mins of the heavy stuff.
That's not fair, I'm off Westwood hill so can't be far from you and I've got sleet and not much of it either.
-
Sleet again here
-
As it stands I think SE london ( EAST ) All the DAs, North Kent in a line down the A2 will see nowt...
S
Except for 20 mins of sleet I had, I'd say you're right.
-
My sleet has stopped, hope that wasn't it for the evening.
-
I've got sleet, lots of it but not what I was hoping for

Hi guys! Good evening all! Met office hourly forecast has nothing for London area..Is that right or wrong? Or that falls within the area of uncertainty? What do u more experienced think of it?
I'm in London near Crystal Palace and met office say light snow 6pm to midnight for me.
-
just checked got 5 inches currently and not stopped yet
On that note, if anyone is expecting a parcel by courier tomorrow in Croydon and surrounding areas, hubby will do his best but it depends on how good yamakin's gritting has been also remember that even if your 4 x 4 can get up it (as he's often told) vans can't so if you live at the top of a steep hill you will have to collect it from the bottom or the depot.

Just looked at the SW london snow again- its actually a streamer pivoting around the same sort of spot ( coming round from the cirulation from the North) but the PPN is going further SE & getting stronger.... edging towards the SE London & west kent region again-
We will have places like bromley on here again reporting snow soon-
Just need to see the 25 & 30 radar echoes-
S
If I've got snow still then Bromley probably has too, but would love more heavy snow. I get the feeling this could be a late night and bags under the eyes tomorrow morning!
-
What's the radar saying for SE London? Wouldn't mind some of those 50p flakes veering this way.
Still snowing here in SE26 so you must have snow still I would have thought, even if it's not 50p size ones.
-
Snow Ploughs have been fitted to many of the gritters and the teams are working flat out
Hubby said can you do the slip road from Valley Park onto Purley way tomorrow please, he'd like to get to work and home again.
-
Just back from duck feeding at Crystal Palace Park, looks beautiful.
Snow much heavier now and roads just starting to get icy in places on the way back, as us and a few others were doing a slide dance.
Snow depth on wheelie bin now 7.5cm
-
Still a lot of very small flakes here and not as much or as heavy as Friday...................yet!
-
Tiny flakes just started here in Sydenham SE London
-
Snowing quite heavily here in Sydenham s.e London! Had over 12hrs of snow now but only about 7-8cm I think! Hope we get more on Sunday can't wait!
I live near Cobb's corner Sydenham and just checked again and no snow. Where in Sydenham are you? it's only a small area!
