I don't want it to snow this weekend I have lots of driving to day between here and elderly mum who lives near New Romney on the coast and Ashford hospital. Don't suppose it will hold off 'till Monday? *ducks to avoid being hit by snowballs from the forum* -

I'm 350 ft above sea level, does that mean I'm more likely to get snow rather than rain? even though I'm in SE London. Still got snow on some roofs, plants and fences from this morning.- 739 replies

Having spent the weekend trying to keep up with here and going to bed thinking JP has got it wrong, but he was right. I've woken up to SNOW in Sydenham, SE London. Enough to give a covering on cars and roofs but not settling on the roads.- 739 replies

South East & East Anglia Regional Discussion - October 22nd 2012>

What beautiful pictures, never get that near me. Well I don't have deer in the small park at the bottom of my garden for a start, and beyond that is a petrol station so not the same really, but the odd frosty tree is nice to see all the same. I like this thread, I've discovered there are others near me -
Winter 2012/13 Pt 5... Expectations, Hopes And Wishes
tadpole replied to Jane Louise's topic in Spring Weather Discussion
I remember the '87 one as I lived at the top of a steep hill, my son would stop and build snowmen all the way down it, then again on the way up, I had to take a bag of carrots out with me every time. The 60's were the best as it snowed on boxing day a few times, closest I've had had to snow at Xmas. -
Winter 2012/13 Pt 5... Expectations, Hopes And Wishes

Hi Guys or at least I get the impression you're all male In keeping with the title of the thread I hope and wish for light snow on Xmas eve, heavy snow on Xmas day and then boxing day it all vanishes. Or snow at centreparcs @ Elveden mid November as I'll be there then, that would be lovely. Unfortunately our bank account can't afford a long, very cold winter this year so I hope it's mild here in London, but not like today, gray drizzle and fog is depressing all day. I'd rather have crisp and clear. -

Started snowing around 7 when I left canary wharf area and hasn't stopped. Home now and got around 2cm on wheelie bin lid. Snuggled up with roaring fire and a warm cup of tea. -
This snow lover wouldn't like it. I'm driving from Crystal Place to Gatwick airport at 3am Tuesday and getting on a plane to a very hot sunny country so if any major snow could hold off till say 9.30am I'd be very happy. Sitting for hours at an airport because of snow is not part of the holiday experience!
