  1. Second SSW peaked. Interesting to note this time, as opposed to January, that the rise in temps were lower at 10hpa but greater at 30hpa. Look forward to one of the many more meteorologically educated members of the forum to provide some enlightenment if possible.
  2. Sorry if this is in the wrong domain but please could someone direct me to a good explanation of “dam” and “dam thickness” and its relation to snow production. Thanks in advance.
  3. It's that time of the day I feel: Here we have Wednesday to today; what a peach of a warming! What's it they say - up to 2 weeks for potential fallout??
  4. Yup. Not the best time of the year to live in the English Channel, Always clobbered by heavy winds and warm air
  5. I'll take that, being down in Jersey! About time we saw some of the white stuff here. 2013 since anything noticeable.
  6. Comparison between yesterday and today. Things on the up! Literally.
  7. Oh hello! Is this the awaited warming taking shape??
  8. Spare a thought for us members down in sunny Jersey . Potential 1987 all over again. Wind speeds equivalent or greater.
