Wow!!! 0.2c and a covering be it of light snow in West Manchester!! This is bit lik 2009 and 2010 we had a spell of cold and snow then mild then temps ipped againd to give us that prolonged spell of snow and cold. This pattern seems the same but alittle later. We have mild leading up to xmas and then temps fall again. Think that is correct.
Just started again here, must be the last of it.

Well after tonight we go back to the normal mildness and dull weather. Very unlike the last two years at this time when the snow came and stayed till the new year. What are we going to discuss now!!!

Spooky weather me thinks, drove to work with 2c, just driven home in the most dark grey clouds with rain on the M60 and now its 3.4c and the clouds are darkening again. I expected ice this morning but no!

Interesting BBC NW give us snow tomorrow night but the national weather takes the snow to the Midlands and rain for the NW!

This not in anyway scientific but in 2009 and 2010 at around this time, I think it was the 17th the mildness fell away letting in the coldness that we have experianced during yesterday and today and it lasted well into January so who knows. I have just come back to the forum so not sure what the outlook is!!

Weather in Manchester started to loud over at 2pm after a cold but sunny still morning, Trees started to move around 3pm and now getting gusty outside and temp is 6.3 with 983mb

Well what ever happens this year the last two Decembers and early Jans were very wintery and I am flying to Alberta on the 11th Jan so I will get my snow in the Rockies and I have never been disapointed. Frozen lakes to walk on etc. (All safe as Canada Parks tests and allows) December has been eventful and not dull as expected so let us see what the end holds and then into Jan and maybe more snow for some!
