    Good afternoon we have in the last twenty mins got some very slate grey skys, almost a sign i feel that we may be in line for some thunder hail like yesterday afternoon, a further note is that the bbc say we could have a covering of snow down here by tomorrow morning (all be it short lived) :lol: LO

    good evening all rumbles of Thunder here in Luton. infact it turned out to be a five min thunder hail storm which has quickly moved on.

    Good afternoon all After some early morning snow grains by on large its been a bright sunny but bitter morning, we still have the reminants of yesterdays snow laying on the highest parts of the Downs from Dunstable to Whipsnade. However its gone very dark in comparison and the odd flake blowing around in the bitter wind. i would not be suprised to see a shower this afternoon as the cloud base is getting thicker by the second. LO

    evening all well im on snow watch tonight or should i say Mcflurrie watch....... current temps are +2C windchill of -7C dewpoint of -2C humidity 75% .............Boy i have to tell ya feels bloomin freezin outside must be the coldest Day and night for quite some time at least since last winter anyway.

    Good morning all after waking up this morning i was suprised by the very hard frost overnight, so much so that at first in the twilight that id thought it had unexpectantly snowed, however this was not so. so to start the day its bright with heavy frost and a light breeze!

    well the snow i hoped at daybreak has yet to arrive, but we do have thick fog here in Luton that a turn up as was clear as a bell an hour ago :lol:

    Good morning all currently have some ppn across the town falling as sleet i think, difficult to say with 100% accuracy as its still dark temps remain low and i do expect this band to turn to snow around day break. temps +1 windchill -1 dewpoint -0 wind 3 East weather Sleet

    Mr Crazy but you been looking into your snow shacker again aint ya, im in the Sundon area of Lootons and dont see any sign of snow grains, however the sky has turned a pinky colour so i guess if we are goingto get some it will be soon

Temp 0oC fallen 1oC Pressure 987 fallen from 988 Humidity 85% rise from 80% Dew point -3oC lowered from -2oC wind speed and direction 5mph W fallen from16mph WNW Top Temp 2oC weather Clear skys and 100% visability ice forming from 16.00 GMT Estimated.

    Overnight was below freezing arount 6.30 with visable frost, overnight hit -5, currently -1 with a dew point of -3

    ive been watching 10abc news florida for much of the evening and the story is that a huge low pressure system will move in from the North behind wilma causing what the forecasters say is a kick effect pushing the storm quite quickly into the atlantic then it is due to move toward the Nova Scotia area before tracking across towards us. My question is what kind of conditions are we due to experience if wilma arrives on our shores, baring in mind it will obsorb tropical storm Alpha on its way???

    I Was Astounded by this moving sat image of the gulf of Mexico, you can see the power of Hr Rita as it pulls in cloud formations from every direction over hundreds of miles.     Even though this storm will prob be a CAT 4 when it makes land fall is it possible that before that , that this system will make CAT 6 status for a time While tracking across the Gulf???

    Cheers steve as the report for current status from CNN above sugests storm surge cold be as much as 25ft thats a frightening statistic makes ya wonder if all these Hurricanes are payback from the man upstairs for americas mistakes around the world :blink: Sorry just been a cynic!!!!
