Hi all we have a moderate storm hitting Luton at this point in time about 6 stikes a min still a way off at this time but moving towords me just starting to rain lightly the smell of whats to come is in the air lots of sound very deep in voice started 4.00 4.50 after a 10 min lull in activity we have another small storm moving NE awy from us and looking across Luton looks like we have some more to come its still raining although its not heavy still have noise and the odd flash

hi all back in the seat for another Luton Observation. 8.30 to 9.30 light rain showers 100% cloud cover very humid and no wind what so ever,nature view is a lot of excitment from the bird population mass gatherings on my lawn as the insect population takes a hammering.10.30 100% cloud cover started to rain and gathered pace in a matter of a few mins turned torrental and is still comming down still little wind still ver humid feels good today for a storm, but will the hills keep them away well i dont know. every thing looks right for a storm but who knows well for now ill sign off back later for an update this afternoon. :shock:

well its humid and very close had a shower about 7.00pm this evening nothing in the sky suggests any action yet if we dont get anything by 11pm i doubt we will get anything tonight Still those Chilterns sheild us from the storms,damn it i say lets remove them with a JCB and see what happens lol

its 22:12 and after avidly watching the rest of the country get there storms we didnt get even a rumble for all the heat and humidity the Chilten Hills scuppered us again, mind you its still warm and up to half hour ago the net weather temps put us on top with 21 degrees can you believe that at 9.30pm well im gutted no storm no pictures well maybe next time eh lol well unless the gods unlease a wrath of hell over us tonight ill report back on the next storms good night

its now 20:53 and the sky is slate grey kinda spooky as the night draws in still very muggy keep an eye on a storm around LeHarve France heading towards sothern England its suppose to be tracking NE so wonder how far inland its go8ing to get great radar storm tracking images i have from jersey the pennines and Hearn Bay just been out side and forgot to mention the wierd clouds unlike ive seen before oh and one more thing was reading the estofex reports france in for some american type tornados so keep watching the news,could not happen to a nicer country lol

well its 18 50 and the sun has won the battle with the cloud its now quite sunny but very very uncomfortable i have just been out and the car temp gaug is still reading 26 degrees my indoor baromerter is reading 28 degrees and 65% humidity not sure how accurate that is though but it is very warm we have 60to 70% cloud cover with evening sunshine no sign at this time of any trouble but as i mentioned b4 the chilterns to sheild us from bad weather but when we get it we get it for now see you later with more details

its 13:25 and inside we have humidity at 70% with a temp of 25degrees going to move the baromiter outside soon we have masses of inscts ie flying ants and hover flies out side going beserk good sign in past of what might come later still very grey and close getting warmer be interesting to find out from other parts of the country what the conditions are.just read the bbc weather warning and seen the summary for this afternoon and tonight also looked at the cape an li values looking good still so for now ill keep observing.

hi well the time is 12 43 and we have 100% cloud cover its very grey but bright we did have quite a heavy down pour at around 10 am this morning you can feel the heat building here in Luton not a breath of air very humid indeed during the day keep you posted on weater events as they happen here .

Ok at around 15.25 after a very humid day we recieved a rain storm lasting approx 15 to 20 mins extreamly heavy rain and a few flashes but nothing to write home about the time is approx 17.30 and again we are starting to get heavy rain and this time we have thunder the satalite is outta action again as it does when we get heavy rain or storms and its feeling really oppressive and really heavy as im tytping the rain is torrentual now and we are still getting a few cracks of lightning here.

im so gutted at the slash of a knife all local thunderstorm activity has ceased both the storms that i have been watching for the last hour and a half dissapered with out trace well suppose ill have to wait till next time bahumbug lol

ok heres the situation so far as i see it the storms moving from belgium are sitting approx 207miles off the east anglia coast and gathering with othe storms in the area but seem to be pretty stattic moving a few miles either east or west but also storm activity across the channel out of France seems to be gatering approx 501miles and moving north east so might be a busy night for the south east i hope does anyone concur with what im seeing here?

currently watching a storm approching east anglia approx 185 miles off the coast moving east to west from the belgium coast seems like its intensifying as it crosses
