Had a few more cm's from the evening / night lot, now is about 5cm's.
Massive issues though here this morning, as temperatures dropped below the level where the grit works correctly, so the roads are difficult. Wish we had a working weather station to find out what it's actually got to.
From about 4am the temp dropped off a cliff by me from 0 to -6 in the space of 3 hours.

Same here lower down. This a streamer setting up?.
Rewinding the radar you could be forgiven for thinking that. I do hope so but is it just the dying remnants of the system that was pivoting earlier in the day?

A small farm on a hill, the nearest place is Cowling - hence the name.
Starting to actually get some depth now, around the 1cm mark on the fences.
Thinking you got hit by this. As you can see from the postcode dot I just missed out but expecting quite a bit soon by the looks of it.

What a shame it's going to melt tomorrow. It's wonderful at the moment and settling everywhere.

.. Lanzarote pal. If we can get there lol … Potential big snow event for our region and I flying out the day it starts. Typical
Looking at your height staying next door to the hotel is a good choice. I suspect it is difficult to get out of where you live when it has snowed. My parents fly out of manchester Saturday so hope they get there safely.

You could walk from Addingham anywhere nice?

BBC video forecast showing chance of snow tonight/early hours for our region. Thoughts anyone?

I'm hoping the precipitation over Gretna and Carlisle survives to make it to our area. The band that just passed through hear produced nothing.

Wow just tried to step outside and it is deadly. Everything is covered in ice. I couldn't stay upright.

Can confirm it's started to snow here above Bingley now.

I think tonight tomorrow morning is best shout for snow for us, I think we could be in for a og surprise.
Not bothered about Sunday, snow quickly turning to rain doesn't interest me
Forecast seems tantalisingly close to our region tonight/early hours but too far north? Here's hoping it shifts south a little.

Yep it is. This happened a few years back leaving an inch of snow. It is to with the fog and sub zero temps.
How lucky those are with a covering of snow. They will keep it all week now. A dream.
But nothing for us.
I remember this. there's a name for it when the fog turns to snow but I can't remember what it is and google isn't helping.

Snow coming from the West around Carnforth looks to be heading my way. One can hope
