35.6mm now, lashing down. Could easily be pushing 3 inches of rain or more by morning if it keeps up the intensity.

damianslaw Yes, timing could have been worse, looking considerably drier for the bank holiday weekend.

32.6mm and still coming down steadily, likely several hours more hours of rainfall to come as well.
The weather gods clearly thought we were missing the rain after the taste of some drier weather recently

Raced past an inch of rain now, 27.2mm.

Torrential rain again here, absolutely hammering down, up to 22.4mm today now and accumulating fast.

18.6mm of rain here so far today. Rain was of biblical proportions for a time this morning, mostly light to moderate this afternoon with some heavier bursts. A pretty grim day.

Absolutely piling it down here, proper torrential rain.

Overcast with light to moderate rain here, looking like being quite a notable rainfall event this with persistent rain likely right through well into tomorrow.

Heavens have now opened, chucking it down.

Sky is looking really threatening here, some heavy showers have suddenly developed quickly from nothing nearby to my SE and NW, things don't seem to want to spark off though unfortunately.

Another warm day today, very dark clouds just to my West, they look to be producing some lively showers, but nothing electrical yet it seems.

Rather cloudy at times today, but the sun did burst through at times. As a result, temp was down on recent days, max of 18.2C.

Sunshine all the way today and hardly any cloud, a very warm day, reached 23.8C. Same again tomorrow by the looks of it.

Not a single cloud in the sky here, could well be the warmest day of the year, current temperature 16.4C.

iand61 Adnams do produce some decent beers, broadside is good for something darker and stronger.
Ales are definitely my preferred beer, anything from stouts through porters to amber and golden and pale ales. A crisp cold pale ale from the fridge can't be beaten on a warm day.

iand61 Yeah, certainly going to make the most of it after what we've endured these past few months.
Just polished of a bottle of landlord, now onto Ghost Ship, then may be time to crack open the rum.

Scuba steve you finished your jobs early then today?
Great to be able to sit out in the evening this time of year.

Lovely evening here, still pleasant out, 19.8C. Pale ales starting to flow nicely as well.

A few clouds have bubbled up here this afternoon, but sunny periods/intervals throughout. Very pleasant out with the temp peaking at 21C so far with a bit of a breeze.

Chris.R Hopefully you are right, basic parameters do look OK, but none of the convective forecasts are really interested for our region and now the metoffice have thrown their hat into the ring in line with other forecasts so indicates they are all seeing limiting factors. Things don't always go as forecast though, hopefully this is one of those occasions and things spark off further North.

The sun burst through here and hour or so ago, feeling warm out, 17.9C.

Overcast here this morning with a gentle breeze, but the sun is trying to burst through, currently 15.4C. A sniff of a chance of something thundery later on, but probably too far North here judging by the convective forecasts.

A much better day today after the washout yesterday afternoon, reached 21.7C today.
Most definitely beer o clock now.

An overcast but dry morning here, the sun burst through at times after lunch and a nice end to the afternoon. Just the briefest of light showers early afternoon, not enough to wet the ground though. Temp reached 19.6C and a muggy feel again.
