  1. Some very short lived heavy rain just before lunchtime, but been largely dry since aside from a brief shower just now, the sun trying to make an appearance every now and again.
  2. Looks like I spoke too soon, the shadow has suddenly broken, raining steadily.
  3. A few sporadic bits and pieces of rain here, but the Welsh Hills are doing a good job of gobbling the worst of it, and then its developing again as it hits the Peaks/Pennines.
  4. It's not the bright start we had yesterday. Dry at the moment, but showers not too far away by the looks of it and a bit of a murky damp day in prospect. At least there seems the potential for a settled spell of weather in the longer term outlook.
  5. A reasonable day again today, dry and better described as bright than actually sunny, temperature reached 17.7C. I would definitely take more days like this.
  6. A new day has dawned and we have sun, might be another reasonable day here.
  7. A mini drought here today and I thought we would escape with a dry day during daytime hours, but just got clipped with a hefty shower an hour ago. Still, it's certainly been a much better day than of late with plenty of sunshine this morning, though has been quite cloudy since mid afternoon. A warm feel in the sun, reached 17.6C.
  8. A bit of a drab day today, overcast and some outbreaks of rain at times. Not the torrents we had yesterday, but another 5.2mm of rainfall to add to the totals.
  9. A chilly start to the day, but overcast now and awaiting the next serving of wet weather.
  10. An absolute deluge of rain here for several hours this morning through to early afternoon, dried up for a bit this afternoon, but just had some more torrential showers move through with gusty winds. Another 25mm of rain added today. Rinse and repeat tomorrow by the looks of it, as if we needed a forecast to know that...
  11. Scuba steve Certainly feels like it. I seem to recall concern over the depths of reservoirs at the time and that we could do with some rain. That aged well
  12. Rush2019 Yes, the NW fared very well during that spell, a few weeks of predominantly settled weather. The weather gods certainly made us pay the price for that settled spell.......and then some
  13. Joe Snow A similar May to last year would be great. That was a nice prolonged dry and settled spell that set in during May through to early June, pleasant temps by day and still cool enough at night for sleeping.
  14. Lovely sunny sky now after the earlier deluge, nothing else shown to be incoming on the radar yet, but presumably showers will develop as the day progresses.
  15. Absolutely belting it down with rain here this morning. It's relentless. However, I can just see it now, when we finally get a prolonged dry spell, they'll be talking about the possibility of hose pipe bans a couple of weeks in!
  16. The temperature reached 17.7C here this afternoon, a mix of cloud and sunny breaks for most of the day, but I think the weather gods have decided we must be missing the rain already as it's been lashing down for the past hour or so.
  17. A few showers today, but we missed the worst of them here, a mix of clouds and sun, reached 16.3C. Tomorrow looking like a good day for drying washing, if the showers can be dodged.
  18. It wasn't too bad here for the bulk of today, quite a bit of cloud cover but plenty of sunny breaks. Stayed dry until late afternoon, but some outbreaks of rain since with a damp end to the day.
  19. It ended up another fairly miserable day yesterday. Somewhat brghter skies this morning with occasional glimpses of sun so far, hopeful for a drier day today.
  20. A damp and dreary start here, although looking like it will dry up as the day goes on. The unsettled outlook continues and no sign of any prolonged dry spells in the reliable time frame.
  21. It's turned out to be a decent day here, sunshine this morning, cloudier skies this afternoon, but dry so far. The rain is edging ever closer from the South, things will probably turn damp in an hour or two, but at least the bulk of the day has been dry.
  22. A nice bright morning here with sunshine and variable cloud cover, much better than yesterday.
  23. A pretty miserable day here for the most part, rain at times until late afternoon. Briefly brightened up but now some hefty showers moving through, not electrified unfortunately.
  24. A damp and dreary morning here, complete contrast to the previous two mornings. At least we managed to get some decent weather on Saturday and Sunday.
