So you are saying that the period February through to April will become gradually more unsettled with HP becoming less dominant. I tend to agree with you. I just have a hunch that late Spring will see a much longer spell of unsettled weather. If i knew when it would be i would time my annual leave at work not to coincide with it
No Hp with us forseable future as feb march and some of April are having HP. As I have read an report of waether for the summer but you need to PM for my E-mail details but that will be posted with in a fornight as it on my big HD. I would like a mild summer and a mild spring and a near mild rest of winter summer reaching 30c max 15c min spring 15c max 10c min the rest of winter feb I want this don't mind light snow but gone by 6am 7c max 0c min thats what the summer and spring I want with Hp right over the whole of the uk in june july august. I know this is a big ask but that is my ideal spring and summer with the old thundery shower mixed in with that. But with lots of rain in late april to full up the resviors to keep the water toped up. But with my own Cfs workings we could end like that. But if we get a bad late nov early dec we will get a pretty good spring and summer as well.
I have a very rare copy of the bad winter in 1800.s but this is not 1891 but before then and it also gives the summer outlook for then and the spring and summer was mild but not hot but warm. Many of my pridecdtions that I asked some weather forcasters one I asked was old bbc weather forcasters and he gave me a 3 month reading from Feb - April and it looks like HP will be over us all of Feb but with middle hp in march and april. But with the his CFS forcast it as a mild feb and march with a 45% mild April and 55% showers in that month. I do have charts for that but not uploading as due to copyrights.

It well be mider as High pressuse is sitting over the uk forseeable fture. As just chatted with a amtuar wether forcaster from derby and he says HIgh pressuse will sit either north of the uk or on the Uk. If you look at the raw data on here it is the same as as his own monthly forcast for feb and march. But we can never tell what the weather can do. High pressuse if sitting north or on the Uk. And he told me the next winter forcast as been done it says we will get next winter 65% mild and 35% snowy weather. That's not certain but that's what his 345 CFS says. No snow for Feb or march if the Raw CFS jetstream data is right.

I've just checked the latest jet stream forcast for Feb and looks like Feb is going to have the jetstream over the Uk most of the month. Also March is going to have the jetstream over the Uk as well most of the month as well.
My weather station is reading at 10:45 outside 1.3 windchill 1.3 inside 15.5 wind from the west.

No it was not a typo I ment 2.8c a my pc crashed when I posted that.

Wow, I'm impressed!....28.7C?....what a scorcher in Allestree.....or perhaps your weather station has issues?...
That was the lunchtime forcast. untill 2pm. Where I live it is on a hill so we get all warm weather even in winter if it is sunny. But this is only the second day it as been installed.

Ingore all weather that is wrong as no snow risk at all untill the end of the month. There will be not much snow is HP stays where it is at the moment.

My weather station is showing Frezzing or snow now so cold weather is on the way. But we did have a normal moon last night with no halo round it. But we have a clear sky this morning and clear sky last night. But now it is showing cloudburst.

Hate this sort of cold. Its a cold that has no purpose as it doesnt deliver snow etc. :lol:
However the nice sunny weather, moonlit nights etc are nice.
Model thread suggests doubt for February snow but too early to say this yet.

Yes but with the raw jet stream cfs forcasts we have a lot mildish weather with the jet stream near or over the uk. I hope that stays that way. As I do not like snow as it stops our bues where I live going round the Woodlands top loop.

It looks like a mild winter for feb so no chance of snow for next month. Only saying becuase of my monthy pridetsions of the weather.
How on earth can a specific day so far out be trusted and why so much reliance on Metcheck which only derives from the GFS model anyway or CFS models for the 300 day forecast.
Im not having a go but we cant get a few days ahead right so saying sleet on the 2nd May is just wrong!
Take a browse of some of the better forecasts here on Netweather!

If this was April onwards i would be all for the current set up but i dont like cold spells where they are dry and dont deliver nothing. By about Mid/Late March i begin to look forward to storm potential rather than snow as it becomes very short lived then if there is any.
The charts still show HP in dominance for some time. Where it goes is out to question but very little snow potential for the rest of the month imo.
Anyone saying no more snow for the rest of the winter needs to be banned. :lol:
I know that but it is what god can do he formed the weather and the all the things on earth. But I'm qouteing what my 3 months weather sation says.

As in my post above I want no more snow at all for the next 20 years. All as it is bad for the older folks as they can not get out to do thier shopping and such. But snow is good for some but bad for others. If we had weather like africa I will be happy with top of north africa weather will be fine to me. In winter but with our summer as we are. All winter mild with a nice mixed summer with rain and sunny weather. So we have all year round mild weather with a few heavy rain showers and a few days of thunder as well. Thats what weather I want for the next 25 years Whishful thinking but you never knw it can happen. Send this weather we have now to africa give them bad snow and heavy snow for the next 30 years apart from sengal. They never get bad weather like we do so it's about time they had our Weather so thats the weather I want forseeable future for good. with the high presssue over the uk for good all winter and most of the summer with a few lows but not under 1c so we have the peferct weather all year. We need weather like that and I will be a happy Bunny. Snow is not good as a lot of cars and motar vicheals can crash in the ice and snowy weather. I'm sure that some people will like this all year round. To keeps us nice and cosy with a mild spell all year round but need winters mild over 10c all the time. and keep the weather forcasters saying nothing but nice and dry weather. I don't mind rain in winter but that pesky snow noway at all. As a friend of mine who lives in africa always come to our winters as he loves snowy weather. But as I have run some software for climate change we are going to get a swing in things for a few years like mild winters and mild summers. Not bad winters like the last one it did a run for the next 5 years and it came with a mild winter for 5 years with more mild winters to come. I can not give a reading or scaned printout of it as you can not printout as this will not allow printouts so thts my pridection with that sofware.

If cfs run of the jet stream we are looking for the rest of winter being mild but that is raw data. But I think if we get a bad late nov Early dec er will get a mild Jan , Feb and March. I also have looked at metoffices cfs raw data as well and it's the same as the raw data for the jetstream on here. Also my weather stations raw data as the same as both the jetstream rawdata on here and the metoffice. But with a few cold spells but not under -2 and I have done a my own long range forecast and for rest of Jan Feb March we are sticking to a low mild winter. As I have been given a very rare copy of when there was a late Nov Early Dec snowfall. But can not send it as it is private doc. 1956 is one when it happend and 1962 dec to feb 1963. And this is an extract from that page. In 1963 the cold weather started in December 1962 and persisted through to February 1963. It was a terrible time for people especially in the Southwest of England where many were cut off and trapped in their homes for long periods of time. Whatever global warming brings there will still be from time to time cold winters but perhaps they will never be as spectacular or as devastating as those mentioned above.

Yes but the met office as got light snow for derby buxton ashbourne bakewell matlock belper ripley all in derbyshire but Chesterfield in derbyshire as heavy rain.
Blizzards have a look at theses towns in derbyshire.
