    Excellent. I'm not too bothered about getting a direct hit in Worthing, so long as there's action within a 15 to 20 mile radius. Heading to the beach shortly!

    Today is the 3 year anniversary of the best storm I witnessed. It nailed Eastbourne/Hastings head on. Not expecting anything of that variety tonight, it'll probably be a kent clipper or a bust, but you never know

    It's all gone quiet here, bar for some rain earlier. I have to give it to the French, ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶'̶r̶e̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶g̶o̶o̶d̶ ̶a̶t̶ ̶m̶u̶c̶h̶, ()but they're certainly world class at hogging the majority of storms, and throwing the rubbish towards the UK, hampering our own chances of storms.

    tragically this event could turn out to be an inland affair...and as I don't drive, I might gamble and get the train to Gatwick.... or gamble and stay at home in the off chance the action kicks off further south

    Two contrasting forecasts from the BBC for this evening and overnight. The national forecast has only a few showers developing, but the local one has a rash of thunderstorms/torrential rain deluging a wide area of the region
