  1. wow, I'm literally just to the right of the line, on the coast. There is no storm food in the sky yet..... heat and humidity have increased in the last hour! High cloud around Portsmouth area is visible!
  2. Don't you have a real, proper date with mother nature this evening? Priorities, n all.
  3. If certain models are to be believed, I am in the sweetest of sweet spots. Humidity has increased in the last hour Hoping the storm food will be visible in the skies in an hour or two It's like Christmas Eve as a child right now, really looking forward to the annual disappointment, and French theft of storms. It's always a highlight of summer
  4. I have exactly the same showing on my weather app. They're next to useless though, fit only for a sewer. The best thunderstorm I experienced was at a time where my weather app said it was meant to be sunny.
  5. If mother nature decides to actually deliver for a change, I shall be at the end of Worthing Pier this evening awaiting the show.
  6. Phone app says it’s only going to get to 19c in Worthing today. it’s very wrong!
  7. Not much to report on the sussex coast....we've had some convective spits in the last hour, enough to make the pavements partially damp!
  8. a couple of strikes north of Brighton in the last 30 mins. is raining now .
  9. cracking...literally. was waiting at Preston Park Station just north of Brighton and saw a CG bolt to the north across the Sussex countryside.
  10. Is it worth me heading to Worthing Pier this evening? Obviously not expecting anything spectacular, like in June 2019 where I got a front row seat of a storm over Eastbourne/Hastings way.
  11. Finally some nice convective skies around in Worthing. It has been over a year since I last heard thunder here, and that single clap of 2020 proved to be the one and only. Here's hoping for a better year this year!
  12. Looks like there’s two bands of snow, and I’m between them. Couldn’t make it up. Roll on the summer storm busts
  13. It appears that even an exceptionally cold night will be stolen from us here with temperatures now only expected to go to -1 instead of the - 4 to -5 that was forecast up until this morning. I do dislike living on the coast sometimes!
  14. Need a miracle for snow tomorrow. got a feeling we might get some dandruff
  15. you're further east than me though and away from the coast, seems we need very precise conditions to get decent snow on the coast, conditions that only show up a few times in a generation.
  16. it would seem like Kent and Sussex is in line for another snow sesh tomorrow, and models put me on the absolute extreme western edge of the border between no snow and snow. damn.
  17. Let’s hope so then, but I’m on the south coast, we’ve had nothing other than dandruff so far
  18. Missing out on all the decent snowfall, I can’t help but think of the raging thunderstorms northern France are going to get in the summer.
  19. It’s been snowing lightly for hours, we must have reached at least 0.25cm of dandruff now.
