  1. I like you, this man/girl knows what he's talking about
  2. I think we do all "make" things up because it's what we want. However, lets just wait and see
  3. E Wales and the midlands to get 8 inches I think (any of you know what 8 inches looks like lol) East Anglia to get 3-4 inches, London 2inches and Southern England an Inch or so
  4. Now Anglia are saying ipswich will have sleet and we have 70% chance of disruption. I don't think they're giving it as much credit as bbc tbh. Anglia and ITV weather are tbh thick as you know what when it comes to forcasting. ITV national weather will be different and will show EA with heavy snow
  5. I don't think Anglia will be worst affected. but I think /Hope we get more than 5 cm lol
  6. I'm confused a tad, bbc news 24 said a very serious situation with the midlands, Se and east anglia getting alot of snow. And then on Anglia news they said that Ea is supposed to have the snow the longest and could be worst affected. But then said 5cm
  7. Well according to the latest models it looks as if Eastern areas (mwa) will keep the cold temps through the day, hopefully I'll get something decent and it'll stay there for longer than 10 minutes. The 06z is the worst it's been in a while with the atlantic rolling in and out constantly. I don't care though tbh, as long as tomorrows is as good as it's supposed to be that'll keep me happy, Then wait until summer for the storms and extreme heat
  8. those cells look pretty big out there, im hoping they will just head straight south and smack me
  9. I saw snow today on the way to Felixstowe, Whiteout, but only snowgrains, pretty impressive though considering we weren't supposed to get anything. You could actually see the snow falling in the distance, it looked like a wathe of fog coming towars us
  10. ITV weather man payed particular attention to thursday , and had the majority of the UK at a huge risk, saying he didn't know how long it would take for the snow to turn to rain
  11. when you say midlands north, east anglia is in line with the midlands, sort of
  12. what about snow in Ipswich? temps will be 3c when ppn comes over
  13. I wouldn't get your hopes up as it's only sunday and this is progged for next week. I wouldn't worry what the charts say, I'll say after the event whether it wa worth the wait or not
  14. well it may turn to rain but this is the same situation we had in late december 05, when the atlantic came back in. It's just a question of how much and how far it will travel. It'd be nice to see alot of snow in my area as we haven't really seen anything this winter unfortuantely. Another decent question is how slow will the atlantic low travel, the slower the better as it will surely be carrying alot of moisture. So hopefully the warmth doesnt undercut the snow so to speak ---when you say knife edge for coastal counties, I'm thinking a few miles in would be knife edge, but say 10 + miles you'd be ok I'd have thought---
  15. the guy and media are totally on crack to think that we will have bad weather next week. I wish Fish would phone the BBC and put them straight. Worrying people like that!!
  16. I posted something, (an article) on the model thread the other day from my local paper, the evening star which said that temperatures would hit -12c and there would be harsh conditions. I think they've accidently printed antarctica's weather instead of ours.
  17. the birmingham tornado was in downtown streets with open doors and canapies outside so it's bound to cause more damage. I think they'll be very similar in strength
  18. very cool tornado indeed. Maybe bigger than the Birmingham tornado. hopefully some cctv footage or something.
  19. Mini tornado is kinda reserved for our country, the name is pretty cool. Although a tornado is a tornado at the end of the day. Be nice to to hear tornado but when you hear mini then you knnow it's happened in the UK. However, i don't know the statistics but I'd have thought only 10% of US tornados are deadly, most will be funnels and slightly stronger than ours?
  20. Pretty cool. I'm wondering whether to go down to the docks but I think it'll be a waste of time. I'll just watch it on the news. Like a tsunami that was, pretty interesting.
  21. A huge sea surge has hit Suffolk with major roads closed. One angler was swept out to sea and search and rescue are still trying to locate him. The surge was caught on camera by a local. http://www.eveningstar.co.uk/content/eveni...3A49%3A14%3A297
  22. Ipswich doesnt do too bad for snow, not the snowiest place, I think N Norfolk, Kent, and Lincolnshire get the best snowfall in E England
  23. yeah, lol probably won't work that way, knowing our luck
  24. Well global warming is a reality, that's for sure. But at the end of the day people WON'T change their ways and it will only get worse. Thus, we WILL see more extremes in years to come. I suppose in 2030 it will be the norm to have boiling weather and freezing winters and it will be the norm to my kids.
  25. 19 cats, I got 4 and that seems alot, I'd love more, the silver tabby I bought last year is besoted with me, follows me about, he's gorgeous, it's difficult to get kittens nowadays, I had to drive to Norwich to get the tabby, 2 years ago. And really expensive, I made sure he had all his jabs, he's got a booster this month. He's a v good boy when it comes to the vets. As to you DAWLISH, I think you should rename yourself as dippy, drip, or a evil person, if you don't like cats then keep it to yourself, I'm sure if one of your terds got caught in the drain and the council came round they wouldn't like it, but I hardly think they'd suggest ways to mentally torcher or kill you. Plus, if youngsters read this website which I'm sure they do then they read your posts and that gives them ammunition to go and hurt animals. I get angry when I read that people shoot cats and dogs with air rifles or some people set those traps that shatter legs, all encouraged by people like you who instead of blurting twisted ideas should just say thankyou and appreciate the animals on this planet instead of finding ways to kill or mame them, or scare the crap out of them. Which it seems more and more people want to do nowadays!!
