That sounds cool. I remember the 95/96 winter and also 96/97 winter which wasn't too bad. My house was covered with hills and we'd get the black bags and go shooting down the hills and one day we went through some guys fence at the bottom of the hill. He wasn't best pleased and filmed us for evidence.

I hope we do get something. My parents don't believe what I'm saying and everytime I try explaining the charts to them they say "For christ sake Andy, shut up about the weather, if it happens it happens" Nothing much bothers my dad. He had to work outside in the 78 winter as an electrician on powerlines. And he worked in the 87 storm. He made a bomb that week. That helped us buy our first house with the money he made due to the storm/ Over £2000 in one week.(Completely off topic,,sorry)

Well it sounds like winter has already started by the sound of things if thoughs charts come off it will be good but if things carry on like are what do you think winter will be like. Does anyone think a 63 can happen this winter. A colder one looks more likely in my opinion at the moment
This has been asked so many times.
And it's not your fault but I wish it wasn't asked all the time. Let's try and forget 62/63 and concentrate on this winter. If it's worse then that won't change 62/63 it will just be something to compare it to. Or next winter people will say "is it going to be as bad as 2005/2006. The 62 winter was by the sounds of it unique and although this year could see a v. wintry spell it won't be the same as then. It would be nice to have something LIKE it or even BETTER. Give it a month and we will have a better idea of the winter. -
thats another thing. They still worried about the second week in december. let's see what unfolds. The 12z run is out at 4pm I think so let's see what that throws up for us?!

Joke,,,but one problem is some people have an advantage over other people if they live in a particular area such as a village where you can get really good pics. So that must be taken into consideration when it comes to voting. -
What I have thought though is as we are hot for this time of year then maybe that will intensify the low and cause it to produce heavy winds like the 87 storm did?

I find working with more than one confuses me. There's so many. If you use more than 1 you get mixed up with time of runs and whats what.

thanks. The low at that time seems to be developing a hook and as it stands nothing is standing in its way.

where can you view the t charts that you keep mentioning? I can't find them on this site unless I'm being blind. Help me out here people.

If you look at the +360 and the +384 setup you see a deep low to the nw moving south with a MB 970. The low in the +360 to the north eventually merges with the low from the west and pushes westwards which is different from whats been happening recently where everything has moved NE. The high thats protected most of the Uk from the high winds has 1020mb and 1025mb. When this low comes aross the high is only 1005mb and 1010mb with -15 over most of the Uk. Not strong enough to keep the low away. The low from +372 and +384 intensifies and tightens as it moves into the fragile front already over the UK. Take a look and tell me it doesn't look good. I'm thinking about asking met-check there opinion.

I'm still going with my prediction. It will strike as a cat 4. and quickly become a cat 3. New Orleans will see heavy flooding and so will parts of Texas. I think Texas will get creamed

Looks very deadly. On fox this morning a pilot who flew into the middle shew photos of what she looked like from the middle. On photo looked like a big bowl of cloud. Very cool. I think it will be border line cat 3/4 when it makes landfall

thats pretty impressive. It would be good to get to cat 6. I know it doesn't exist but if the wind was so strong then they could invent cat 6

She has winds of 140mph now so a little way to go yet. Remember 155mph sustained to be cat 5

That is the weirdest question I have ever seen on this forum. lol lol. BUT, if I were to guess then you could try either the met-office or the weather channel. I don't think it will be easy to find that info but you could give these two a try,,good luck

19 cats, I got 4 and that seems alot, I'd love more, the silver tabby I bought last year is besoted with me, follows me about, he's gorgeous, it's difficult to get kittens nowadays, I had to drive to Norwich to get the tabby, 2 years ago. And really expensive, I made sure he had all his jabs, he's got a booster this month. He's a v good boy when it comes to the vets.
As to you DAWLISH, I think you should rename yourself as dippy, drip, or a evil person, if you don't like cats then keep it to yourself, I'm sure if one of your terds got caught in the drain and the council came round they wouldn't like it, but I hardly think they'd suggest ways to mentally torcher or kill you. Plus, if youngsters read this website which I'm sure they do then they read your posts and that gives them ammunition to go and hurt animals. I get angry when I read that people shoot cats and dogs with air rifles or some people set those traps that shatter legs, all encouraged by people like you who instead of blurting twisted ideas should just say thankyou and appreciate the animals on this planet instead of finding ways to kill or mame them, or scare the crap out of them. Which it seems more and more people want to do nowadays!!
