and hearing distant rumbles but looking at radar possibly moving away

Agree there but where are you reporting from?
From Bedworth just 5 miles north of Coventry

this is a convective weather thread and not dedicated to one particular likes or dislikes I believe , if I am incorrect a mod can let me know and I will leave

I seem to be having a charmed life at the moment which I am very thankful for , looks like I am going to miss the very worst of this he says with his finger toes and everythnig else possible crossed

We will catch this thing in Grimsby?. Looks very impressive on radar. Hope everyone in it is enjoying it!
Nope haven't got it yet and don't want it

I'm 30 miles east of birmingham and according to radar I'm not going to get a direct hit nor is Coventry at least that's what i'm hoping

this is really scaring the life out of me , I am hoping the worst passes to my north west but I not sure it will

Question - what is the difference between surface and high based storms
-
Unlike the majority I'm not going to enjoy this , really hope this goes through very quickly
Interesting goings on in South Wales. Two new cells down there with sferics, indicating that behind the main band there is still potential to pep up, and lots more convection going on over the valleys west of cardiff. If something else brews like it did early morning still a chance for a second round for the west west mids?
hope not

im only a novice but how are scotland and northern england getting all the rain and storms and the south misses out, our heat is coming up from the south ?
I assume you are referring to the met offices weather warnings , it does seem to tie in with a post made by Frosty039 further up this page about what the current models suggest

40C is Southern Spain/Northern France would be crazy, because that would mean the third year that 40C has occurred widespread in that area, with 4 years in a row in some areas, the models do look good though, but remember last year, when everyone was saying shades of 76 or 95 and that kind of optimism, things could still end up like last year, even if it looks good now.
Yeah , I remember that shades of 76 forecast last year , the only thing that was near the 76 mark was the number of days of mediocre weather
Don't want it stifling hot but a decent summer is certainly due but whether we'll get it remains to be seen and so I'm not drifting off topics as for the models I think Kate Moss looks great
