    Rapidly warming up here. Thick frost that was on everything this morning has now melted.

    Been downgraded at the last minute from heavy snow followed by light snow for 8 hours down to rain and sleet. Disappointed but not surprised.

    The smallest of snow in Walderslade, lasted about 30 seconds. Hopefully a sign of more to come tomorrow.

    BBC has upgraded to heavy snow for me tomorrow. I shall remain sceptical to avoid disappointment.

    Wishing all my SE crew a Merry Christmas. For those of you who find this time of year difficult, I hope it passes peacefully. Hopefully next Christmas will be back to normal and we can look back at this time like it was some weird dream.

    Still waiting for this rain that's been forecast all day. Annoyingly put off going for a walk because of it, but could have gone now. It feels surprisingly warm.

    When he was driving through the surge you could see his car getting taken by the water. He's lucky he found that spot when he did as the car was about to get swept away

    Blimey! Potential for huge damage with Cancun and Playa Del Carmen right in the firing line. I was in Tulum 5 years ago today and there was the very outskirts of a tropical storm that caused terrible flooding for a day, so god knows what it's going to be like.

    Can't remember the last time we had hours of heavy rain like this. Nothing better than lying in bed listening to it.

    Just had a short spell of very heavy rain. Haven't seen that for several months. Sounded lovely and the smell of petrichor is glorious.
