Absolutely relentless rain all evening. Lots of flooding.
-
Very strong winds with some pretty exceptional guests here over the last couple hours. Had several house shaking gusts so far.

i cant see here(storm bit )as they making a mountain out of a mole hill ,couple gusts and a bit of drizzle, we knew there would be next to nothing here but people whack it out of all proportion ,hope I'm wrong waiting for something that never comes ,is a tease tbh ..(if you like extreme weather that is ,if not its all hunky dory )
Saying that I got blown over when a sudden gust caught my coat down Scotney Castle area this afternoon. Would have gone completely over had I not had a tree to grab on to.

Very windy out there. Got woken up a few times in the night by bigger gusts knocking things over

Much windier than I was expecting. Anything not heavy has gone flying.

Rain forecast tomorrow with very low temperatures. Can see some awful icy surfaces as a result. Think it'll be cute slippy out tomorrow.
This winter is certainly feeling the coldest I can remember in a long time.

Nice to see a light snow shower this morning. I hate winter but I do live how the earth looks frosted up and snow.

Gone very dark out there! It does feel very snowy in the air even though there's nothing on the near horizon.

Absolutely vile weather.
Falls into one of two categories:
1. Not leaving the house, fire on, copious amounts of warm drinks.
2. Venture out to find cosy country pub with roaring log fire and a hearty pub dinner.
These are the only acceptable uses of this weather.

Bit of a nothing here so far. A short period of very heavy rain and a bit of wind.
-
I'd rather have a storm at night as at least most people will be safe inside than outside at at risk of being hit by flying debris or collapsed trees.

Seems to be downgrading here every run. Think it will very much be nowcasting.

Will be interesting to see how this Amber warning plays out and if it will widen as it moves through.

Torrential rain currently. Felt milder today than yesterday which felt really cold.

Lovely bit of October sun. Glad to grab a bit of heat before the long winter slog.

Felt a real chill in the air this evening, haven't felt that since Spring.
-
A failure as expected but at least got some rain.

Looks like I'll be right in the gap

Think this is going to skirt to the West of me, sadly.

Is it me or have they suddenly sped up over the channel?

Feeling very humid already at 9am!

Trying to work out whether to go out for a hike we had planned. Due to finish around 2pm which coincides when the rain is due, but could always arrive much earlier...

I have to agree with you. I'm not going to complain if it does decide to snow but like you say, been bitten too many times even by the strongest of chances so I remain unconvinced.
