are there any webcams we can see the current status in Cuba
They still haven't got mainstream internet yet so I doubt there will be any webcams.

I feel like the Beeb and MetO have not forecasted this recent rain well at all but I suppose it's rain that's popping up quite spontaneously so....

That looks pretty devastating for Havana. A lot of buildings over there are barely standing and Cuba in general is not well equipped for hurricanes. We visited a year after Irma and in many parts it was like it hit yesterday as all the repairs had gone to the tourist areas. It's such a wonderful country but they can't cope with strong hurricanes at all.

This is really quite the event. Hope they are as prepared as they can be.

Got a parent taking pictures of her kids playing in the swell in a webcam. Absolutely no sense at all!

Absolutely hammering it down. Reflects the mood I suppose.

Steady moderate rain here and I'm still snuggled up in bed. So cosy to listen to it.

BBC has thunderstorm symbol all evening here from 6pm so that's definitely not happening.

Seems to be slowly moving NE. Question is will it die out before it gets here?

Had some very strong wind and some rain and some distant rumbles but never really got going here. It went to the west of us which seems to have been the theme this year.

Looks like it just missed us. Heard a few rumbles and had some rain but the storm went to the west of us.

I think September and October are going to be a much different story.

Here we go, lads!
I can see red becoming a fish storm but the Cabo Verde yellow looks a bit more head on.

Looks like it's about to chuck it down but nothing on the radar.

Bugger all here in Medway apart from rain.

Looks like it's all dying off on Lightning Maps. Is it expected to reignite when it gets to us?

Horrific scenes. I dread to think what we'll wake up to.
Being a storm enthusiast is such a conundrum. Getting a kick out of extreme weather and the sheer force or nature but at the same time knowing the devastation it causes.
