Just had an incredibly strong gust outside, proper whistling, howling wind.

We've just put some new fence panels in. If they get blown down again, I will be fining Eunice and Dudley.

I have no idea why people are already writing off winter. We have experienced snow well into February and March! Remember beast from the east?

Absolutely insane. Horrific and amazing in equal measure.

Very light snow mixed among the light rain. Bit of a surprise.

We're having to hide a lot of arguing posts again. Play nicely, folks.

Horrific. Tornadoes have got to be the most terrifying event, especially when you don't have time to run, you just have to hide and hope.

The squall hit just as I was driving over the M2 bridge. That was fun

Absolutely delightful out there. Howling wind, icy rain. If this isn't snuggles weather, I don't know what is.

I swear to God if I lose one more fence panel, I'm going to lose it. Lost 8 over the last 2 years with winter storms.

Aircraft can land in weather that you'd think is impossible. Once they are flying they have to land and it's best if they can get down at the planned destination but no pilot is going to land if it's unsafe and will divert. Pilots love days like this, it's really earning their money and they get to really test their skills.

Snow is forecast for me Saturday morning. For possibly the first time ever I'd like it to hold off until Sunday as I have important things Saturday. It certainly feels like snow is brewing out there, absolutely freezing. Winter is kicking in with a vengeance!

I'm thinking about it. When I'm cold even with a blanket is normally my turning point. Nearly there.

Torrential rain. It does sound lovely, I must say!

All this moisture in the air is preventing my lawn from drying so I can cut it. It's like a jungle out there.

Absolutely biblical rain last night. Woken up 3 times by the roar. Thought at one point it was a low flying jet!

Kalimera from Zakynthos!
As my Greek friends are telling me, the weather here is heading down towards Winter and we are only getting temps into mid 20s now with thunderstorms expected.
Gather Autumn has hit Plymouth with some flash flooding yesterday!
Kalimera!
Hoping you are enjoying one of my favourite islands. I love the turn of the season in Greece, still lovely and warm but things get a bit electric!

And we've officially hit the day I consider putting the heating on. Will hold out for a bit longer I think.

First day I've felt properly chilly all day. It is that time I have to reluctantly accept the warm weather is going away for 6 months. But I do love the autumn colours and crisp air.

None of the heavy rain forecast arrived but had some deep rumbles of thunder for half hour or so.

Beautiful day here, felt like summer! Sods in law the weather looks to pick up just as I leave for holiday!
The bees are out again in full force which is lovely to see!

Been following on the cams all day. I guess we will see the full impact when we all wake up tomorrow. The surge is looking horrific.

For me in the SE it definitely has been one of the worst summer's I can remember. I also don't remember such quick changing forecasts in a long time. Today we have a family BBQ. On Monday today was forecast to rain all day and since then has gone anywhere from raining and 17c to sunny all day and 25c with so many fluctuations. I don't remember so much constant change in the past.

75mph on the forecast. That's insane for here. Especially up high where I am. Driving to work tomorrow will be an absolute nightmare. I don't know how it's not a red alert.
