have a look at the lightning detections and distributions Paul and you'll see that nothing has gone a bit pear shaped!
I have... Not as widespread as people had previously said. That is not a moan btw just my observations on things. I was watching the Dawlish cam at around 3 am and thought that was a good sign of what was to come. Oh well always next time or the time after that

The Live Strike map seems to be a bit naff. All those strikes showing up on the webcams but not on the strike map. The storm going on in this webcam looks a beast and its heading towards the South coast http://www.st-jouin-bruneval.fr/webcam_stjouin_plage.php

If you look at NW France, and click on the North bound planes, they all seem to be giving Rennes/Nantes area a wide berth... Cant think why!
ORZ203's Captain decided to risk it though. Bugger being in a plane that small flying through it

That's favouritism n i am reporting you to the mods!!!!!! Lolread the posts again chaps! Will, you must be looking at model outputs that I'm not, as we have a cold front engaging a high theta-e plume advected along it during very early saturday morning with steep mid level lapse rates, high precipitable water content, and several hundred joules of elevated convective energy potentially to be released in an increasingly unstable elevated layer......looks rather good to me! Paul, my post is geared towards, and states it's for, southern England tomorrow morning, not oooop north
-
According to the storm forecasts for here it's not
-
All I can say with absolute certainty is that we will not get a thunderstorm here at all, and I will check back here to verify that on Saturday or Sunday.
I AM WITH YOU ON that one.
-
Oh well no warnings of storms for here and no heat either.
-
Lol no. You miss out on them like we do up here.I bet you're trying to suggest I zip it basically. LOL

Yes, radar watching for me later tomorrow I think. I'm pretty sure it was altocumulus castellanus cloud if rather misty and not very pronounced.
Really hope you get some good storms...

I was talking about me when I said that. The situation is dynamic. Even the met office could not pinpoint where the storms were going to be
