If it's anything like 2012 do not bother. Head to Lincs instead.....Quite jealous of my partner flying back from Antwerp Saturday evening. Should be very interesting. Deciding whether to visit my parents back in west yorks, think ill have a better chance of seeing something than in the east. Any thoughts before i make my mind up?

Oh yes 2012. Nothing happened here as usual lolI will be free to chase storms from Friday afternoon through to Sunday morning so I am hoping to see something. Quite a few fairly active cells across the central part of southern England as has been pointed out and some great funnel cloud pictures. Whether the weekend happens or not it is exciting watching the potential. In my view it looks quite similar to 28th June 2012 with some decent shear and helicity values showing up on lightning wizard for up to 12noon Saturday which is as far as it goes. Should things pan out as is currently showing then we could be in for a day to remember once more.... and that is as much as I am going to ramp for now

A few light/moderate showers coming up from the SE now. Not at all special but if this W/NW wind kicks in soon, convergence could set them going.

You really think so.... 3 rumbles of thunder for the whole of the year....Another developing thunderstorm is moving towards the Leeds and Bradford area. It seems like that area has had more than their fair share of storms recently...

only one rumble paul , on monday I stopped counting after 50

NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SAY IT BUT I HEAR THUNDER.....It's looking stormy up north, nothing for London today, except for boring old cloud and light rain, enjoy the storms !
