    im not far from the airport and can see it still building, looks like a right monster from here, some distant rumbles as it moves away but that's it. seems to be another building just to the south east of that storm .i can only hope i would take the ticket buying as a good omen and get excited lol

    speaking of a breeze,was picking little one up from school ,really hot ,then this quite chilly breeze hit, felt out of place for how warm it is, stayed with us for a minute or so then it went back to a normal warmish breeze, quite strange. any idea what that could have been ?

    morning everyone. hope you are all enjoying the sun not been on for a while , glorious day here in Edinburgh . just seen the forecast and its giving me a 57 % storm chance, not the best but i hope we get something , haven't had a storm since last July .

    i can remember watching the second storm and seeing the clouds rotating and they looked like they were being sucked upwards(very intresting to watch) but im new to all this and still learning so didnt want to jump to any conclusions.but it did have a very american look to it ,from what ive seen on t.v anyway lol

    as much as i like a good storm, im actualy hoping we we dont get anything today, for sammies sake aswell. edinburgh for some reason cant cope with severe weather as has been proven over the years. im not complaining about getting a storm,far from it,i think we sometimes forget how damaging they can be.

    the sun is out here sammie with nice blue sky over corstorphine way so hopefully thats the worst over with planes still using the emergency runway to take off south though so probably more on the way.but this break should help you good luck

    i would phone edinburgh council response team,but they probably rushed of there feet.unless you have some spair sandbags to hand i dont think there is much you can do. when a family member in stockbridge was getting flooded all we could do was lift as much as we could(the t.v etc) off the floor and hope it didnt get any worse.

    dont know how much more edinburgh can take with this rain,reports of severe flooding around.some nasty lightning strikes also causing problems.

    thunder here again,absolutely pelting it down.can understand why the planes at edinburgh airport are diverting now.pretty nasty.

    lol been so storm starved here i was like a wee kid in a sweet shop yesterday,the neighbours must have thought id lost the plot enjoy it while it lasts,prob be another 5 years before we get another storm lol

    yeah i feel very lucky today,this setup is very unusual for us this far north,cant recall a day like today. this storm seems to be intensifying aswell as it passes us,is there a particular reason for this ?

    its a very impressive storm,flooded the streets and the lightning is every couple seconds,and its purple. a very nice birthday present from mother nature

    well i have to say this is the most extreme storm i have seen in years,lightning every 2 or 3 seconds very intense booming thunder,and the clouds are rising and moving around in all directions very intresting to watch,never seen clouds move around like this before

    that seems to be the storm that just hit here and still going strong, heading your way now,intensifying as it goes on. strikes every few seconds,very impressive for this neck of the woods.enjoy
