no body knows for sure what the weather we will have during the xmas period still too far out. the forcasters still can not with confidence predict fridays weather. expect many more twist and turns guys and gals. enjoy the cold will come.

met office new warnings update . this looks seriouse guy and gals.

according to the met office update the north will be cold for sometime with snow down to low levels at times with frost and ice risk as well as milder blips, the south staying in the mild category. i know the southern people will be less fortunate but i think the cold will come here too. patience is the word. models not to inspiring for the south i see.

has anybody noticed with models the attack of cold air is ready to punce from the nw where has scandi looks less cold there. please feel free to delete mods.

bbc have a video out talking about the stormy weather and saying much colder later on. still think this could happen but like you say it's only one run so may be 50/50 chance.

i think this storm could happen. look what happened a few days ago where the low pressure north of scotland bombed, this is what the forcasters refered it as so i think we should take this seriously. the models have shown this a few times now.

i car'nt understand how anyone can say for sure that it;s not going to turn cold. the weather is to com[lex. the met office have stopped their long range forcasts because they admit it's not possible to predict so far ahead. i'm confused by the different views of what we could expect. some saying no cold till end of december others cold round the corner. i'm still learning on here but find it so confusing at times what the weather is expected to do one minute to the next. i know the experienced members on here have greater knowledge than many of us but to say no cold till the end of december i find hard to believe. i'm going to just look at the picture at around 120 hrs time frame so at least i don't get miss leading signals. enjoy the weather guys i'm sure the cold will come at some point.

hi has any body seen the bbc video on the approaching storm. they are really ramping it up calling it a bomb. also saying hurricane force winds north of scotland. they say they are excited by this one. the jet and polor front is causing it. have a look guys. please feel free to delete this post mods.

i thought we was taught look for trends and not at every daily model runs. have faith guys the cold is coming.

come on guys it's november. have faith this pattern will break even the mildest winters had snow. i think come middle of december or earlier we will see a pattern change. enjoy mode lwatching we all thought that the uk winters were dead but look what happened last year a quick turn around somthing will change just enjoy the pleasant conditions we have now .

i see that horrid euro high creeps back on the ecm we need to bomb it lol.

hi nick were the models behaving like this last year when at the last minute they all switched to a colder outlook? just a thought. john hammond refered to cold air to east and said it would not be coming just yet.

This pattern carn't go on for ever give it 2 weeks and i'm sure we will all be looking forward to something more seasonal. I listen to the experts on here ie john Holmes etc. the knowledge and expertase they bring to the forum is great. be patient guys and gals winter will come.

i think this could turn out to be a very mild autumn Timmy. record breaking infact. but i think the second half of winter could well be record breakingly cold.

The models continue with the mild outlook for the moment. i really carn;t believe how mild it is. ive just poped out only wearing my t shirt and boy does it feel mild. i wonder if any records could be brocken. yesterday i saw a butterfly and ladybird in the garden this sums up the mildness. please feel free to delete .
