A Face like Thunder yes lovely Saltburn… the tram station at the bottom had a fire in January apparently… but wasn’t meant to open until April… not sure when it will open though… yes Seaview was where we were for tea… the restaurant and takeaway part was busy this evening… lovely area… only been out of season… October in 2019 and this time… in summer I can see it being rammed… especially with being so dog friendly

Scuba steve indeedlydoodly… why we wanted a change of pace, place and mostly weather for four days… bus to Staithes today and went to Whitby on bus on Tuesday… really lovely relaxing change of scenery… last evening in Saltburn at the sea view seafood restaurant with their signature crab brioche
  3. Sun back out 15c lovely jubbly lamb shoulder roasted now to make pot of Irish stew
  4. Lovely sunny morning yesterday heavy rain second half of game yesterday and drive back home ️ ️ ️ Sunny warm in sunshine this morning… clouded up a bit… useable weather… just been for quick jaunt into town… making Irish stew and a Guinness to go with… Happy st Paddy’s Day
  5. Mild damp day precipitation mainly in the drizzle category… day for spring cleaning… cleared out three large cupboards and office resulting in car filled to brim for tip run tomorrow… hopefully drier weekend and next week

Not looking forward to next week’s drizzle and sporadic rainfest…. atm Tuesday looks sunny and ok… afterwards up in the air… but sw winds and drizzle looks a certainty now… high pressure and actual spring would be welcome… wonder if we’ll get a one/two day heatwave with 40c plus again this summer?? Then rainfest thereafter???
  7. Chilly breezy (quite gusty overnight) drizzling hill fog…. Car finally sorted after being hit by milk van over mew years… dairy company really good and paid for repairs… Bathroom nearly there but pipework put in by bathroom fitter 7 years ago is proving a nightmare… hopefully sorted soon and dining room ceiling can be repainted next week after four separately sourced leaks in last three months booked to go back to saltburn by train week after next… will bus about to Whitby and along the coast… will be nice to get away from our building site of a home whatever the weather
  8. Had Worse applied to go to Durham university and went on an open day in 1999… haven’t been back since but I remember it being a really lovely city… might be good to go there with Paddy was thinking about two day in York then somewhere else for a couple…
  9. A Face like Thunder oh wow you wrote a book about it… it is a lovely place… had a few chilled long weekends there… strolling along beach just by ourselves… really great place to get away from it all and take a breather
  10. 4.8c really chilly feel in breeze… just taken bins out… woodburner lit…. Hubby made delicious chicken chasseur for tea… stuffed Looks more damp and drizzly Sunday… rain amounts have deminished over the last few days for weekend…

  12. Iceaxecrampon cheers will have a look… Paddy’s ex boss is up around there at the moment… looks very pretty… Been to Whitby it’s lovely place… and Saltburn… would love go back soon… Had Worse haven’t been there before… will have a look at this too

Three lovely spring like days sunny and blue skies… this morning misty then sunny but clouded up 1130-midday… hill fog… feels chilly compared to previous days… reached 15c on Tuesday in Marple on car… only 6-7c today… managed 2-4 hours gardening last three days and this morning… slowly but surely getting many jobs done… Great win Sunday (vs Utd) ️️️and yesterday (vs Copenhagen)️️️️️️ now onto Pool… Come on City… not going to Anfield peeps that sit next to us are… next home game FA cup vs Newcastle… ️️️️️️ Trying to think of somewhere to go (UK) for four day break before British summertime/easter/schools break up… somewhere north of here and by train…. Any suggestions??

Lovely sunny day… chilly in breeze but felt warmth of sun out of the breeze… 3 hours gardening and quick walk into town… blitzed bathroom with new shower fitted… gammon egg & chips for tea… much of this week is meant to be dry and sunny after some rain overnight tonight… great Aurora last night… very pretty
  15. raul_sbd indeedlydoodly rain rain cold rain as the Scottish would say dreich washing on (again) catching train to guide bridge this evening for a friends surprise 60th birthday party… see every other train cancelled today and engineering works tomorrow… great timing northern rail for Manchester derby… we’re driving but will no doubt be slow slog
  16. Snake closed Woodhead open sleet/icy rain in Glossop poor fish van guy in market was frozen… picked up some lemon sole for tea… now to light fire and blitz kitchen monks road has covering… wet snow… 1c dew 0c
  17. Had Worse ️ wet snow… hills will be white when front passes… off for fish at market square… driving down as Paddy’s ankle playing up…
  18. Big flakes of snow coming down… started as drizzle… temp dropping 3.3c to 1.9c

Had Worse Not sure it’s going to amount to much other than white hills… our decorator doing bathroom lives in meltham so could be a bit wintry drive for him chilly walk to Lidl and M&S this morning…. Popping down to fish van tomorrow could have snowflakes a fluttering on our walk down and up again… lighting fire just now
  20. 6c now drizzle… two hours clearing flower beds and tidying up drive/beds/plants… picked some daffodils … jumper wash… new shower taking shape… hopefully finished and usable by Friday… walk into town 3pm, husband has dental appointment and I’m popping into sowerbutts… Paddy has made Spanish tortilla and chicken croquettas for tea… my favourite Then Luton vs City… couldn’t get any tickets… will have to settle for watching it on itv ️️️️
  21. 7c sunshine and clouds… bacon then drive to Bournemouth… speed trap at puddletown according to ways… says -1.7c at home overnight… looking at cameras decorator didn’t have to fight with our house alarm this morning
  22. Heavy showers here in Somerset… Neil our decorator back at home said it was snowing in greenfield last night and Holme moss coming over this morning… have good journey to York Had Worse
  23. 80.8mm precipitation for February so far… more to come today and rest of the week… yuck Driving to Somerset for my sisters birthday, Saturday going to Bournemouth vs City… then meeting with friends from Kent for brunch at Aunt Fanny’s farm shop and cafe near blandford forum for Sunday brunch before driving back home…
