  1. You weren’t far off Raul with 0.3c cooler… 0.5c atm considering you’re in centre of town but do have the brook near you… could both break your record easily??
  2. I’ve bookmarked your weather station last year when we were in France so we could see a more accurate picture of what was happening in Glossop
  3. Every year since we moved here in 2013 we’ve at least had a 2-3 inch fall of snow in winter… most times much more… compared to I think four years with dusting/covering in Kent in the ten years I lived there… we did have one fall of 5/6 inches there that melted in 24 hours… just looked it’s dropping fast… now -3.2 dew -6.8c
  4. -2.6c here… fingers crossed still have an inch or more cover on patio/drive/most of back garden… could really help
  5. Completely agree wasn’t expecting much after consecutive downgrades on amounts over the model runs… but 2-3 inches is the most we’ve had since March last year… we got 5-6 inches then but only lasted 36 hours before it was all gone…
  6. Just went out… no wind… doesn’t feel too cold… 1.5c dew -1c… know once this system passes temps meant to plummet…
  7. Temp has risen to 1.6c but dew is -0.9c we shall see… maybe evap cooling?
  8. Indeedlydoodly… nice to see local uk wildlife… when we lived in Faversham in Kent we lived next door to the railway siding in part of an old oasthouse… we had a fox visit us regularly… wasn’t scared of us at all… would sun itself on our tiny patio
  9. We had two and last year either they’ve mated and had babies or there’s another set… as we have heard four in close proximity… there are some tall pines trees and we are between two parks… I’ve had one of them fly over my head on a couple of occasions… once it was on the roof above the back door.. eyeing up the field mice that live in the back stone wall… today had the local heron (usually see it fly between the parks) fly in a circle around our house whilst we were having some boxes delivered
  10. Temp 1c dew -1c here now according to my weather station at top of the garden… skies have eventually cleared too… can hear the owl out
  11. Slush/ice fest later probably… but may get some more this evening as everything slides se and temps drop… could be really cold tonight…
  12. Some flurries in breeze… flakes floating passed window… just falling asleep on couch infront of fire I’ve had going since 7am… made salmon and stir fry veg for lunch… having bigger lunches and smaller meals for tea… edit yes coming down again now too 1.5c dew -0.4c edit pt 2 had a delivery earlier and heron flew right overhead and circled over the garden before heading over to Manor Park
  13. Looking out front garden 2/3 inches in places moderate powdery small fluffy snowflakes
