  1. 3c in Newcastle just driving home hopefully back 10-1030 am… cold/flu in full swing
  2. Just having Indian around the corner from hotel… got lift up but walked down 150-200 steps… my vertigo was full on great result my mate Oscar Bob scoring, Bernardo and de Bruyne ️️️ now for snow search tomorrow on the models
  3. Looks like the gfs will have to dragged kicking and screaming into line with the ecm/ukmo/ukv/icon
  4. That’s changed on bbc forecast… old map… snow in south now into France the area over Scotland further south
  5. 2.2c dew 1c little wind doesn’t feel too cold out atm… driving up to Newcastle lunchtime for football ️️️️ and dropping off a friends daughter to university… both have colds Love it when troughs and streamers set up will be looking forward to your insight and knowledge over the coming days… Hope you are recouperating and recovering well Yep that looks a Baltic forecast atm hope it holds true
  6. Wowza -15/-16c on netweather forecast for here for Wednesday night / Thursday with reel feel -20/-21c that’s cold to get that cold there’d have to be snow on the ground… Peak District forecast update for the better too “prolonged heavy snow”
  7. The exciting thing, as always with uk weather, living on the eastern side of the Atlantic, is we are normally in a westerly orientated regime… to get northerlies and easterlies is against the grain compared to normal… the gfs wants to bring back westerlies and rain.. always does its it’s default… and its detail isn’t the greatest compared to the high res short models… We have quite a lot of time between now and Tuesday & end of next week for things to fall in our favour (or not… ) the joys of living in the uk
  8. The ECM seems to be following ukv with heavy showers same areas Tuesday into Wednesday then Friday again and more widespread… but that’s a week away
  9. Ukv take on Tuesday… end of its run Peak District forecast update not great though
  10. Gfs is always wish washy it’s different run to run and isn’t good with any showery activity… gem looks good… await the ukv and ecm
  11. That’s what I said a couple of days ago… mild blip what mild blip? Yesterday 4c today 3c at least strong wind from Monday Tuesday has abated…
  12. 3.6c dew 2.4c dull & overcast but dry… should be an interesting few days model watching…
  13. Spring and autumn for me… had lovely May and June last year… July and August abysmal… had some lovely September/October days up here recently… just hate when winter is perpetual autumn… grey and wet… like this autumn and winter so far… at least we’ve had some colder seasonal sunny days this week I do
  14. I understand the bias it goes over the top on the se forum (model forum)… they are in general snowstarved… a dusting closes schools and trains cancelled
  15. We bought our 2 up 2 down in Faversham in an old malthouse on the railway sidings (in 2003) lovely place, for £170k… sold in 2013 and move up to hob hill in Glossop… sold that place for £300k in 2017, now live where we do… had more snow up here and snows every year… think I can count on one hand the amount of times we had snow laying on the ground in Kent… that was over ten years… (unless you were up detling hill and the Weald… or lordswood) my husband previously lived on herne bay seafront in an old Victorian building split into apartments… was lovely high ceilings… remember him coming home from work and having an argument outside… went out and there was a bbc lorry parked in 8 spaces and had little Britain cast filming ten doors down Matt Lucas and David Walliams all dressed up (in their I’m a lady garb) pop their head out
  16. I think we’ll get a bit more of an idea come Sunday… the high res models will then be the reliable for Monday-Wednesday… won’t be nailed down but just a better idea…
  17. Hence it’s been playing with not making much of it and running weaker precipitation across northern France and Belgium… I completely agree ps keeping an eye on the snow in the us… Chicago looks to get a pummeling… plus the Great Lakes are record breakingly warm… some down wind places could get 2-3 feet
