The exciting thing, as always with uk weather, living on the eastern side of the Atlantic, is we are normally in a westerly orientated regime… to get northerlies and easterlies is against the grain compared to normal… the gfs wants to bring back westerlies and rain.. always does its it’s default… and its detail isn’t the greatest compared to the high res short models… We have quite a lot of time between now and Tuesday & end of next week for things to fall in our favour (or not… ) the joys of living in the uk

Spring and autumn for me… had lovely May and June last year… July and August abysmal… had some lovely September/October days up here recently… just hate when winter is perpetual autumn… grey and wet… like this autumn and winter so far… at least we’ve had some colder seasonal sunny days this week I do

We bought our 2 up 2 down in Faversham in an old malthouse on the railway sidings (in 2003) lovely place, for £170k… sold in 2013 and move up to hob hill in Glossop… sold that place for £300k in 2017, now live where we do… had more snow up here and snows every year… think I can count on one hand the amount of times we had snow laying on the ground in Kent… that was over ten years… (unless you were up detling hill and the Weald… or lordswood) my husband previously lived on herne bay seafront in an old Victorian building split into apartments… was lovely high ceilings… remember him coming home from work and having an argument outside… went out and there was a bbc lorry parked in 8 spaces and had little Britain cast filming ten doors down Matt Lucas and David Walliams all dressed up (in their I’m a lady garb) pop their head out

Hence it’s been playing with not making much of it and running weaker precipitation across northern France and Belgium… I completely agree ps keeping an eye on the snow in the us… Chicago looks to get a pummeling… plus the Great Lakes are record breakingly warm… some down wind places could get 2-3 feet
