  1. Shades of 1976... is that not a netweather headline grabber? It's certainly not a newspaper headline. And besides, why deal with the likes of the Daily Express etc when you know full well they'll twist your story? Setting yourself up for a fall every time. Like i said, if it all goes right we wont hear the end of it! If it all goes wrong, it'll be swept under the carpet, never to be heard of again!
  2. Previous years have shown long range forecasts to be inaccurate, so why would this year be any different from the past? It's simply attention grabbing headlines and if it happens to be right... surprise surprise we'll see the 'WE GOT IT SPOT ON!!!' headline. If it all goes wrong, we'll hear nothing more of it ala Positive Weather Solutions with the 2 week heatwave that never occured (forecast 7 days in advance!). Please provide me with evidence that long range forecasts actually work.
  3. Well what's this then? Paul Michaelwhite, of online forecasters Netweather, said: “It is not beyond that realms of possibility that we could see temperatures pushing up to the record 101.3F – and temperatures of 95F are certainly not out of the question.†It's all a load of tosh! Netweather say a summer of 1976 is on the cards, with potential record breaking heat... The Weather Outlook say this summer will be nothing special and will NOT be remembered as a classic... Surely weather forecasters should agree with the forecast, at least in terms of the general longer range outlook? UK Met Office have scrapped their long range forecasts after a BBQ summer never materialised... PWO are no doubt going for an ice age to set in around August... Doesnt it strike you that it's just lucky guess work and nothing more?
  4. Jonathan Powell This guy needs his head looking at. Just to show you how bad this Positive Weather Solutions is... I emailed them 5 times in the past 10 days, asking why their forecast for a 2 week heatwave went so wrong... no response. I emailed them yesterday to ask about paying for their wedding bells weather forecast service... surprise suprise, they responded!!! (Not that i wanted such a crap service from them). Jonathan Powell and PWS needs to be shot down ASAP, they're a bunch of idiots. There is more talent in my big toe than their efforts combined! Oh, i'd also like to add my 2 pennies worth on this netweather record breaking summer... There is no evidence to suggest this summer will be record breaking. I cant help but think you're following the PWS headline grabbing fever!
  5. I want to know this mans credentials! I also want a response from them over their poor forecasts (4th email sent)... pigs might fly i guess!
  6. Well i hope Mr Powell is reading this... because im on a witch hunt and PWS is prime target!
  7. Indeed... who is Jonathan Powell and is he even qualifed? Positive Weather Solutions... or rather i should say... Negative Weather Solutions, wont email be back to explain what went wrong. A heatwave was never on the cards.
  8. Hello weather community! Just a quick one... what happened to the 2 week heatwave predicted by Positive Weather Solutions? We were supposed to have a 2 week heatwave from last Saturday, with average temperatures around 29C. I have emailed Positive Weather Solutions 3 times to ask what went wrong, but funnily enough, they've gone very silent. I am really annoyed about 'knock off' companies like this... they give meteorologists a bad name. MC
