After the severe wind and rain last night...we now have heavy wintry showers, some snowflakes mixed with hail at around 210m in North West Wales now looking brighter towards the North. Currently 4.5C but went down to 2.1 C during the last shower. Seems quite white on the mountain tops.
-
Some really heavy rain around - with plenty of flood warnings closing a few roads accross Wales. Gone really cold here too (LL55 - NW Wales), local stations recording 3.6C, I'm pretty sure the rain is quite sleety at the moment.

Hail again in Cardiff. Have had hail a few times today - it's nice to see some winter weather at last. Jack One's latest post gives me some hope. Fingers crossed!
Lle ti'n byw yng Nghaerdydd? Cathays?
Had a fantastic shower around lunchtime - everything went white with hail, lightning and thunder - pretty amazing I must say. Now occasional hail showers.

You've got to wonder why the Meto didn't put N Wales in the Amber warning area?
They never do that's the thing. I've seen it worse and still not getting a warning from MetOffice.
-
Just got woken up by the wind - pretty rough out there - just recorded a gust of 57mph. Right off back to sleep until the next roaring gust wakes me up!! Stay stafe...
-
Just hope we'll get a cold and snowy winter, but with the snow timing itself better as I don't want to be stuck in Cardiff a week before Christmas! Back to tonight - really heavy rain now and wind gusting 53mph.
-
Already blowing a gale here in North West Wales - just recorded a gust of 49mph. No rain here but showers to the South and East.
-
Heavy rain just started here - thought I saw a flash but can't confirm it!
-
Cardiff West and North getting a soaking! Still nothing here in Cathays but you can feel that something is about to change!
-
Still nothing here! Few raindrops - know my luck it will skirt the city centre! ha!
-
Just gone to the attic and took these. Hard to hear any thunder due to the sound coming from traffic!
