    Time to prepare then , and batten down methinks. These models mean that with all the info at least we can be prepared here on our farm, and hope that the storm passes without incident. ( I love a good storm, but like most weather extremes it can be just a tad inconvenient when farming!)

    We have had a couple of light flurries here this morning and this afternoon, nothing drastic teeny bits dancing in the cold wind. Was this forecast?

    Yes lots of hail storms and then bright sunshine! At least I have learned what a 'Dangler' looks like, thanks TonyH .

    What about the wind chill factor Tony? It doesn't feel that warm to me here. Will hopefully be able to provide accurate data here as I have just ordered a weather station to satisfy my curiosity .

    Wind picking up, sleet showers just started, brrr freezing out there! Won't be hanging about getting the animals fed this evening!!

    YES you are right! Big flashes of lightning wind picking up - strong to gale force gusts. Have't heard a rumble yet though.

    Lots of snow still lying about, but this rain is relentless, cold and miserable!

    Strong gusty winds, and sleet here. No idea on temps. but it is bitter out there in the wind! sleet @ 45 degrees!! Any ideas on how this is going for us on the West coast here, as I have given up watching Derek & Co - you lot out there are FAR more reliable. Many thanks for all your ideas (My daughter is on leave from the Army and driving home as we speak, goes back to Thorney Island on Sunday. What time she leaves us, is down to the weather conditions.)

    Agreed!! Can't believe they got it so wrong, 3rd time this week kids have been sent home before 12 midday, and driving conditions are atrocious off the main roads. How have they got it so wrong Tony H and is it with us for the evening? Your input truly appreciated, from all you weather watchers.

    Yes< i know whAt you mean< my kidS HAve been sent home from school AgAin 3rd time this week< And We hAve hAd aLOTsnow here roads are Awful!! ( keyBoArd on the blink - kidS And snowbAllS through the hAllway methinks!) I thought we were not getting any more this fAr west .

    In your opinion, and looking at the radar, do you think it will come this far West, as snow? Can't give accurate temp reading due to equipment failure!

    Any ideas on us mid-westerners getting more? Still quite a lot of the white stuff about, and a good bit of ppn today. Any advice on this welcomed, still planning for the livestock !

    Heavily snowing here. Settling well. Been snowing on and off all day, but now snowing and settling.

    Gone very dark, snowing quite heavily atm !

    Thawing, still quite a bit of snow lying about, in the past ten minutes though, has started snowing!

    Very light snow here, warmer and sunshine peeping through (occaisionally) no temp reading, my equipment has failed ! Still very icy on our untreated lanes. Nothing settling as yet. Location just off A487 between Brynhoffnant and Plwmp.

    Still plenty of snow here. Slight thaw, now freezing again. 'Feels' like it wants to snow. Are we likely to thaw between now and Tuesday? Only asking as although I love the stuff, when the water is frozen, it's hard work ferrying water to the livestock. Not complaining though, I love my job ( except the relentless rain!!) !
