  1. Still snowing here, slowed down a little and the flakes now smaller, but a good 2 inches this evening....so far! I didn't think we were due for more!
  2. Just off A487 between Plwmp and Brynhoffnant, down one of the little lanes, passing onto main road impossible without 4x4, my little Pug 206 couldn't make it out of our farmyard!
  3. Snowing steadily here now, over 1cm in less than 1/2 hour. Pathways now completely recovered.
  4. Snowing here again! fairly heavily, covering the paths I have carefully cleared. Wind easterly, but only 3-5 mph.
  5. Where I am ( just off A487 between Plwmp and Brynhoffnant) we have a good 4-5 inches, Ffrostrasol/Rhydlewis road is blocked, council using JCB's to clear the road. Temp rising and the sun is shining. My friend in Cennarth has nothing! Will this white stuff be around for long, and why is it so localised? Appreciate any thoughts on this. Thanks Guys

  12. Snow here, wet....but still snow Sheep in and warm.
  13. Sooo, my heavily in lamb ewes are still out, plenty of hay and some good hedged shelter. Do I risk leaving them out, or try to get them loaded and home (bearing in mind I can't yet get truck and trailer into/out of the field as it's so wet and muddy). Guys your input is invaluble to me here in Brynhoffnant. Many thanks for your helpful advice !
  14. Hi Guys, Farmer here trying to plan for the weekend (very near Llangrannog/Brynhoffnant)livestock feeding. Sheep are heavily in lamb. Do I move them closer to home because of the high risk of snow, or risk leaving them undisturbed where they are, as I have a good 4x4 which can cope ( as long as it's not too deep or lasts too long. Any advice from you seasoned weather watchers gratefully recieved.
  15. Still snow/sleeting in Brynhoffnant, now covered the garden and the car, turning slushy.
  16. Yes pop up here - the snow is sticking well despite it being wet - we are only just off the main road by 1/2 mile :0) Always amazes me how the weather varies around here in really short distances!
  17. Snowing steadily here @ Brynhoffnant temp dropped to 1 degree, glad the lambs are indoors but the kids are out on their horses!
  18. we are already losing trees on our farm, 2 possibly 3 that I have seen when checking the animals. Very windy here, but no idea of wind speed sorry.
