    Use to love this thread years ago, until I realised that we could have massive gains over Russia and Eastern Europe before the snow would stop at the magical snow boarder in Scandinavia, down through the borders of Belgium and France with Germany and not dare encroach any further. Seen it happen too many times now that it's spoiled my love for the snow and ice thread these days.

    Seeing the fields around me almost ripe for harvesting gives me a little tingle. Can't wait for those Autumn colours to show.

    I would say that 21st Feb was pretty late for the start of the Spring thread. Anywhere from the 10th onwards is usually fine. Of course you get the odd poster who think it's blasphemy to start the next seasons thread during said posters favourite season. But, mostly people are OK with the discussion.

    All the threads for the next season are created at roughly the same time every year.

    I'm happy to enjoy the hot weather for now. However, come 1st September I'll purely be on the look out for the colours of Autumn. Anyone want to guess when we'll see the first frost?

    Not overly fussed about the warm weather atm. Got the school holidays upon us, so it gives us more options with the kiddies. Won't be able to tolerate overly warm weather into September though. Low 20s with cool/chilly nights are required by then

    I can see it all in my head at the moment. Foggy mornings are great. As are chilly, frosty mornings. Halloween and bonfire night are the best, when you've got that smoky chill in the air. I'm getting excited just thinking about it!
