Not so sure to be honest - Check this link to the European Severe Weather Database http://www.eswd.eu/ There was plenty of lightning damage around the UK but not recorded on here, so its possible.

So there we go folks. So glad I made the decision to drive to Swindon to meet and greet the storm. I think if I had left 30 minutes earlier I would have been able to continue chasing but it was already passing north as I arrived. I will just add that as a lesson learned in storm chasing. Great lightshow on the motorway though and this only makes me want to hop over to Europe to chase even more! Wonder if we'll see anything like this again this year? Who knows. I for one, will chase again! I've got the bug. Have a good day all.

All I can say is Wow!!

Well I drove on the most horrendous conditions on the m4 and I'm completely gutted I didn't have the gopro running on the dash. Unbelievable light show. Didn't manage to catch that much footage but as this was my 1st time chasing I think I've learnt a little. Absolutely amazing radar imagery. Some of you guys are in for it! That's me done now. Time to return home.

Looks good to me. I think Worcester is a good bet as a start point but I'll wait until the last minute before making any decisions.

You are right. I may head North up towards Worcestershire judging by MO latest update but will have to wait and see.

Do you video the storms or take pics? What settings do you use?

BBC have the storms over Wales. Obviously not to be taken literally but things are definitely looking better for the West! Bring it on!
