Im with KW the output for me is getting ever more promising and seasonal weather looking all but nailed on....maybe not a foot of snow but some wintry showers from a first hit and then prolonged blocking helps to reload with more potent wintry conditions......im certainly feeling optimistic with how many runs are showing a promising pattern for us.

Back by popular demand
Binmen are having a shocker
absolute gold .... love this new feature
very heavy here just now

the best thing is for at least a few hours it's proper crunchy snow here, the sort that gives a satisfying noise.... but enough moisture to make a great snowball... kids delighted with the type of snow

Woke up at 5am and we hadn't really had any more snow as most of it was north of the central belt.
We've since had about an inch of snow from this band. There should be more showers here throughout the day but as its nearly spring we'll be into melt between the showers season.
Yes a good depressing point, and not sticking around long looking at temps next couple of days but certainly our best snow of a terrible winter.

Some of the heaviest snow I’ve ever seen to the south of Perth! Gone from a light dusting to a good few cm in around 20-30 minutes!
That one has missed us, crazy how a few miles can make such a difference.....need some luck in this set up as to where the beefier ones hit. Only caught a couple of cms here but looks like chance of plenty hitting over next few hours.

I'm still up, no third beefy shower here and only a dusting still but radar primed.

@Norrancefeels like role reversal I'm normally looking to see what's heading up from you. Looks so loaded outvwest that most people should get a few direct hits. Another heavy one just started here.

chuckling away here at these replies
@Kirkcaldy WeatherI should have explained the couches have been deep cleaned today and still slightly damp so have made myself a little floor bed with a quilt and some cushions and snacks... a bit like indoor camping setting up for a snow watch

@Puffy MacCloudyou need to get your nurse some hand warmers, shocks like that can't be good for you (but thanks again for the giggle).
@Hairy Celt Putin, completely and scarily barking.
Just spotted the weather warnings, fingers crossed for a wee bit of white stuff.
Trusted mechanic has pronounced car terminal anyone out there have a lease car? What do you think of them? We usually buy a 3 or 4 year old car and run it into the ground, but I'm tempted at the thought of a new (and hopefully less problematic) car. Never, ever buy a Renault.
I have ordered a new lease car but does not come until August.... its really all about what you want to spend. I have kept notes of what I spend on cars and I found buying 3 year old car cheaper and then running it that after 6 years I spent the same between purchase price and maintenance of a PCP payment on a new car.
I'm going lease this time as was a work scheme opportunity and it even covers tyres insurance etc... just plugging it in is all thats required.
What you have to watch is mileage limit and condition policy. I will be putting on seat covers etc and protecting it as some companies can hit you with charges at the end. I will also be banning food and drink so not gonna be a popular car

Well I was excited to wake and see very intense snowfall, I thought this was to last till about 11 to 12 so a bit deflated to see the comments on here about clearing soon and to see how many have sleet. My excitement now passing but still so nice to wake and see intense snow and a beautiful snow filled sky.

perth getting copious amounts of snow tomorrow, time for positivity..... we have done well in these scenarios.... 2013 think it was when front actually stalled and pivoted back over us. we are due one so COTF the snow. Good luck has to happen some time.

Models look great for us in Perth but I can just feel it going wrong.
We could get 6-8 hours moderate snow and 10cm+ or not snow and well 0cm. Tomorrow's model runs are crucial.even more crucial than tomorrow's runs is where the storm actually ends up.

Just having a wee look through WX weather charts . A wee bit sad snow depth do not look great for central belt a few cms at best going by them
oh all snow will go south of Perth.. been a year since seen any snow lying. Very windy and rainy here but nothing too bad.... football was a bit stop start as thr wind blew the ball away constantly.
I'm frozen though as now on final leg of 3 hours outside as walk the dog... looking fwd to couch and charts that maybe dare me to dream whilst watching some champions league.,
