  1. IMO the models have looked too positive for too long with Northern Blocking, disrupted PV and lows in the atlantic. Things can change quick admittedly, but i think we could be going on a run of negatives for a while. Wait and see...
  2. What an awful day for the models, although this has coming for the last few days with not a lot of positive reports. Im not one to rule out the winter altogether, although this doesn't look look for the future with the Nothern blocking being removed.
  3. Thanks for the explanation, this provides me with a greater understanding
  4. Sorry guys this discussion have confused me to some extent. How would the increase in snow accumulation, acknowledge it could be a good winter? Winter is still a little while off and how can snow accumlation predict what happens in the future?
  5. Why is this so different in comparison to the other models?
  6. Yeah lack of snow, this forecast is for the end of next week Cant have extreme cold without snow
  7. Gibby has provided an update, not good for us guys. In Summary the screw has been turned slightly more towards cold this morning as the angle of attack from the North looks somewhat better with the bulk of High pressure staying further West out of Britain. All areas will see a quick transformation to cold conditions late this week with some Northern and eastern areas at risk of seeing there first snow of the season thereafter. It looks unlikely that much if any snow will be seen in the south and West with frost and cold rain the more likely prospect here. Nevertheless, the trend holds good for some interesting cold synoptics to be thrown at the UK repeatedly over the coming weeks.
  8. Contradicting yourself a little "but temperatures falling a little below normal across all parts" and "Temperatures near or above normal"
  9. Typical poor south east Models always illustrate the worst for the south of the UK
  10. Im wondering whether this blast from the NE will hit us on the south coast ??
  11. Wondering how the models will interpret how further south it will go? France?? Further south it goes determines how long it will stay around for...
  12. Im interested to understand what exactly were looking for, to encourage a colder climate around winter in the UK, which would influence snowfall. Eg Stratosphere Warmer Obviously their are a lot of influences these include?? Many Thanks Liam
  13. Speak for yourself i live on the south coast.
  14. Cant be wrong with every weather / temperature types
  15. Not a problem. I am unsure as its quite far East and a lot has to be effected for it to be pushed through to the UK.
  16. I have heard on here recently, that the more snowfall produced over Siberia during Autumn and Winter has proven to have an negative effect on snowfall in the UK, Anybody got any support for this?
