Looking at the radar, the rain doesn't seem to be as intense as previous storms and looks to be moving through quite quickly. However, how disruptive the wind will be this afternoon/evening is anyone's guess. I for one, am not looking forward to it.
Actually, looking at the radar again, the rain out in the channel seems to be intensifying. Ah well...

So what kind of max gusts are to be expected through Lyme Bay? At work and unable to carry out much research, cheers.

And so it begins.....light rain here in South Somerset.

Chucking down with rain here @earlydaysyet.

I must say I am really enjoying today far more than the snow event in Jan. Today reminds me of being a kid again, back in the 80's. Snow and cold...get in.

And so it begins...Bitter cold wind and sleet.

Thats the route alright. I considered going a different route but then in reality, the best thing would be to stay at home, go sledging, build a snowman and have a snowball fight.Suggest that she'd be better off staying at home! Which route does she normally take.....up to the A356 to Maiden Newton, then up and over the A37 and down by Sydling? I wouldn't want to risk it.

I have just been out to walk the dog, and its mighty cold and the wind is gusty and mighty chilly. I think I am going to have to stay awake and watch things unfold.
For anyone local to my location, my wife would like to know if she will be able to drive to Cerne Abbas at 6am? Oi larfed.

You get used to it, it is quite funny at times. Its the trends that matter and you will soon discover who it is you should be listening to.that model thread is confusing. one person said low moved south and west, another person said moved north and east.

Hello folks,
Thought I would pop in and see how you people are are enjoying the weather. I'm interested because I lived in the Waveney valley for a while before coming down to Dorset in the late 80's. my folks moved back to Harleston in 2004.
Anyway, I was telling my kids this evening about the snowfalls we had in the 1980's and just wish they could experience something like that here..maybe Friday?
So, from a very envious snowmantic, enjoy the weather and goodnight.

Just back from work, feeling tired. Would someone be kind enough to tell me what looks likely to happen on Friday please as i think a trip into the MOD thread will frazzle my noggin.

So the way things are shaping up, lamppost watching may be the way to go tonight?

Wow, no snow, feeling chilly and rain in the forecast...what a surprise.
Seriously though, I think black ice from tomorrow onward could be a real problem.
