  1. they are the best team. go Netweather!
  2. almost looks like towers going up as mike phelps drives through the cold front on the way to wichita falls from OK city on chasertv.com
  3. this storms just going nuts ... team was sat in Vernon, so they'll be on it. Paul if your reading theres something wrong with the stream contrast - its very dark.
  4. looks like a cell going up near Seymour, TX - I'd still hold out for cells closer to the team though - nice convective roll clouds apearing on sat as the low level shear increases Edit: Also looks to my eye like a surface cold front has quickly made its way south and then stalled over thier area - could easily be wrong though. I'm filling up the thread again - sorry!
  5. what are ppl's thoughts on where the dryline is at the moment and how its progressing ?
  6. supercell composite bullseye right on the border in the wichita area right now (mucape * esrh * ebwd) - its gonna go pop!
  7. wow thats an electric soup! moderate to strong moisture pooling going on south of the border in the Wichita area now - just need that dryline to come across.. interestingly very strong pooling up against the front across central OK too (using spc mesoanalysys - http://www.spc.noaa.gov/exper/mesoanalysis/ )
  8. THat is a good site - being sad I added each parameter at each time to a favourites folder (I believe the secret to a good forecast is a good list of favourites - I've got something like 1800 files - took me months!). Looking at the RUC + GFS - it does seem to me like those models are shifting things 50 miles SE, so I think given the river crossing and flooding problems, wichita is a good bet for tonight Edit: I've only had a quick peruse though, so i may be wrong there
  9. Baseball or larger ? - yeah, core punching might not be a relaxing expierence today lol.. TC I went for Altus, OK as an initial starting point based on last nights forecast- may well be a wee bit too far nw though .. I take it you've been thinking wichita Falls - i'll move my virtual chasing milkfloat down towards you over the next 2 hours lol
  10. not too sure about tomorrow - play will probably be on the dryline due to no upper level lift and a stout cap - my initial stab in the dark would be SW OK - maybe somewhere like Altus.. what are your thoughts TC ?
  11. adios! .. yeah - looks like a mothership! - stunning
  12. yeah looks like it weathero9. You can see the anvil zits flashing away faintly on miles camera - very good feed that one - went dark in about 30 seconds though ...
  13. mike phelps is quite near the vault there - he's punched through to just the right place though - what a shot of the meso
  14. yeah he's in danger of getting in real large hail there - this storms developed more rapidly than he thought i bet - then theres coming out into the meso of course to worry about ... edit: sry thats not unmarked - shows as the 33 running west
  15. lol sorry TC. I think mike phelps is punching through to the bears cage on an unmarked road - he might get munched by hail pretty soon.
  16. I can see where you mean Sno - hard to tell from here but it looked like it - nice inflow bands into this storm
  17. yeah perfectly positioned by the team .. the rest of the chasers are playing catch up coming over from north of OK city .. with the timing of this storm it may well not get undercut - that wall cloud allready means business!
  18. obviousely we're routing for the NW team here, but as thier feed is a bit hit and miss, mike Phelps is also on this storm on http://www.chasertv.com gonna be a vicious supercell this one
  19. thats going up at an incredible speed - if it can stay isolated with the cap in place it'll be a monster.. Hasnt even showed up on radar yet - thats explosive
  20. good on you Paul your right next to the thing!!!
  21. lol my feeds stoped. Does it break the cap? - has it allready ? ok im filing up the thread once again. where is everyone ? Hey TC.. Yeah its adictive as hell isnt it - I saw my first live tornado last night on that garden city storm, and a six stacked plate meso. Yes im sure you'd love it out there, and you'd do well with your forecasting skill. I havent really looked at tomorrow - will take look and post my target zone - Sam
  22. check out thier video feed though TC if your not allready ...
  23. whats that on camera? - is that stratus, or a cu base going up
