  1. Your actually in the favored location where I expect the 5-15cm.

Running in a line from Ingleton, Skipton, Otley, Bramhope

I'm right at the end of the line where the showers (Bramhope) usually died a death so bits and pieces of light snow here. Good dusting here, can't even see the ground.

I hope your right , exciting times ahead for us all hopefully.

  2. How ironic I have to wait until March too see the heaviest falls of snow of the winter, granted it may only be 4cm but after the shocker of a winter which proceeded this I'm more than happy. Temps haven't risen above freezing since before lunchtime, resulting in powdery snow blowing around in shaded areas away from the any sun.

You have been unlucky, i live about 20 miles north of you and we have had quite alot of snow this winter.

  3. It's all well and good saying the charts show promise but we've been hearing those words most of the winter. The last cold spell wasn't nothing spectacular in terms of deep cold, for many places it was simply too marginal for snow either falling or lying for any period of time. The outlook at best suggests transitional cool/cold snaps for the foreseeable, this may change in the coming days but until then I prefer to comment on what the models are showing, rather than hoping.

While i agree with your statement about no deep cold, you are totally wrong about being marginal for lying snow.

The 5cm of snow we had on the ground from Sunday/monday 13/14th January lasted right through until Yesterday.

And i only live 26 miles from you and in North Ribbledale not on the top of a hill.
