The forecasts promise us Beyoncé and we end up with Susan Boyle.
To be fair, for a few days there's been signals that today's front could go further south. It was never a cert and I don't recall any forecasts saying as such.
From a purely selfish point of view, I could do with tomorrows snow (if any) not coming till after midnight as I'm out and about. I had enough trouble driving back from North Wales yesterday afternoon as a couple of routes home were blocked and this was only just passable...…
I have to drive down from Snowdonia to the Midlands tomorrow evening. I think I might have to set off a bit (or a lot! ) earlier and try and outrun any snow. I'll be watching the radar closely.
The serious model thread is more suited for the armchair "experts" and this one for the armchair "critics".
Both are helping me understand the models output. The later more easily than the former.

NLCs have been visible for the last few days and with clear skies forecast almost countrywide this week it is well worth looking to the NW/N an hour or so after sunset (or the NE before dawn for the early risers or those on the way home from a night on the town!! )
