PPN now breaking it's back like a poll volter and heading for Anglia region, looks as though north of london will get another top up. Light snow showers are scattering across london region. I have a very light dusting in Dagenham East. Wasn't expecting that. BBC got there forecast wrong for today then! Suppose to be drier and quiet.......lol pffftt!
-
Oh dear, breaking up and moving away from the region very soon, leaving a rather non-eventful day in all reality, but none the less, I was surprised to see any snow, so that in itself was a bonus. NEXT!
-
Frosty start on Thursday with light winds. Wet and windy conditions will spread slowly east Thursday, then last through much of Friday and Saturday, with a risk of inland snow.
From the met office for friday and the weekend se.
Does that basically mean snow on hills, or snow anywhere away from the coast?
Sounds like they mostly expect rain.
I think it's in line with the unexpected Snow that fell in Oxfordshire a few days ago, and there council complaining about there forecast, maybe there covering themselves with it now. I can't see snow other than the hills as you say.

I don't think winter is done with us yet, not one bit! Looking at those charts Mr. Pike has been teasing us with earlier.
A lot of people are resigned to it being spring now, and that after this less cold period, that's that.
I bet we get 2 more cold snaps before spring for real kicks in.

It's definatley heading north isn't this band of snow. I wonder.....
Bitterly, bitterly cold, I can't believe the kind of weather we've had today!
Heavy frequent 20p flake showers most of the early part of the day, then a couple of polysterene ball mini blizzards, snow swirls on the roads! Now it's bone dry, nothing settled! All gone quiet!
Great day so far, really enjoyed seeing the snow.
-
Being bombarded with tiny polysterene balls now! Errr, where's the big flakes gone!
-
I feel quite lucky today I must admit, there is a snow shower train right out too the NE of me, out in the North sea on the current raintoday.co.uk radar, and it's heading my way! **NICE**
-
Another really heavy snow shower! This is magic! Wind is bone chilling!
-
I tell you what, some of these Snow Showers! Total whiteout conditions at times.
I wasn't expecting much, but blimey these showers are beefy!
Best Snow of the winter so far by a country mile! Love it!!!
-
We've had a few moderate snow showers this morning. Woke up to a slight dusting, only for it to melt.
Snow is very dry, and blowing around as it hits the ground.
Not expecting much here, but I hope others get a pasting in favoured areas.
-
Flock of seagulls just flown past my house! Just shouted out to one of em' "What ya doing round here" Seagull replied "Severe weather further south" lol
-
Light snow Dagenham, slight dusting so far. Very cold 0c
-
Great excitment on the thread, I love the anticipation brought on by others, it's brilliant!
Currently we have Snizzle with a cold NE wind, temp 2c.
-
A rare snow-storm zipping thru English Channel tomorrow. Jersey and Guernsey getting a pasting. South England only "brushed
Latest tweet from Ian Fergusson
Bloody shame that. Gutted.....
-
Light Snow all morning and now early afternoon, just odd flakes here and there, then just a little burst here and there.
Wierdly I like this type of light snow, just for the fact the flakes are 5p size at least!
Looking at the radar, looks great, but no real evidence due to as been mentioned, the air being dry.
Temp 1c, feels very cold in the wind.

THE FRUSTRATED SNOW LOVER
This model that model
It's only a pub run
Don't worry I'm told
The winters only just begun.
Check the lamppost
Check the radar
There's something showing in the North Sea
Oh it's just Anaprop
That's not what they said on the BBC.
Graphics here, graphics there
Never where you want them to be.
It's all been pushed further east
That's not what they said on net weather.tv
It 's an upgrade! No a downgrade!
Only north of the M4 corridor
The 12 z looked good
But the fax chart is raw
And what do you mean
There's no beast in the east anymore!
A warm sector's included
With a slider just for good measure
Azores high to spoil the fun
I thought they said this was a good run!!!!
GFS, ECM, METO,MFI
Best just look out the window
And keep your eye in the sky.
YAMKIN,FERGIE,FRANKINCENSE and MURR
Like gifts from the kings
They'll tell us the score.
Dew points,uppers
Wind chill factor flow
And all I ever wanted was some simple, pure, old fashioned....SNOW!
Very good!

More light snow fall this evening, had it going on and off all day, and not forecast at all, just shows you!
Nothing settling of course, but it's nice too see.
Temp 1c
-
Light Snow Dagenham, getting a slight thaw though I must admit.
Temp 1.7c in the car

My wife just called me sad !
So I'm going into the back room to stare at the garden porch light :-)
I get that all the time off my other half!
-
this is going to pivet soon
lets hope after that blob hits in the channel
then soon it will hopefully be look east
You can start to see that pivot in action, the blob is likely to shave West London as apposed to a direct hit on the centre of London the evidence of it maybe. Lots more to come anyway in my view.
-
That blob looks interesting...............Come to papa
Does look interesting, but I think it will loose it's intensity as it moves towards London, although it does look tasty at the moment. We'll see.
-
Still have moderate horizontal snowfall, been a real surprise tonight. Biting windchill from the east, currently awaitng the new blob coming up from the south just now.
Temp 0c
Not great that some others have there damp squibs too contend with while others enjoy and report snow. Charts looking very encouraging for cold too return for next weekend and snow risks return also.
-
I was just about too sing a song from the Bee Gees, it's
Massachusetts in Dagenham!!!
-
Just looking out my back garden having a fag (How chavy of me!) I started too get excited thinking Dagenham was enduring thundersnow! But there were so many blue flash lights in the distance and the distinct sound of a train on the district line, too good too be true as it appears it's as the trains go down the line, it's sparking as it does so.
Still coming down like a gooden!

I think looking at the European radars, it would appear the streamer coming out of Belgium is rather fragmenting as it arches around towards EA & the SE (Maybe)? Ever the optimist aren't I! Still nice to see the snow, it really is, I am not complaining in the slightest, this is heaven too me! An extended winter just like the 80's, March is delivering.
