  1. Looking forward to seeing what tonight/tomorrow morning brings as long as everyone stays safe of course! Could be very interesting for north Midlands such as Stafford upwards who will bear the brunt. I'm about 20 miles south of Stafford so I'm still expecting a few strong gusts but I don't expect any trees coming down!

    Stay safe all :D

  2. Hi all,

Been meaning to come on since Storm Doris. What a wild day that was. Trees, fences and even trampolines felt the full force of Doris around here. I take it that Storm Ewan is going to be north of us this time, winds are certainly picking up though.

Such a difference in attitude up here compared to in London when it snowed.

I got sick of people in London whining and moaning about how their lives were ruined by a cm of snow that lasted all of a day. Using it as an excuse to miss work and not get things done.

These past few days I have not heard a single person complain here. People have embraced the conditions and got on with it. Everyone turned up for work.

    So refreshing!

We're made out of tougher stuff here ;)

  4. Hi! Been awhile since I used the forum, formerly under a different name as I was in Wales.

Was surprised to see we've had a little bit of snow in Pelsall, left a very slight dusting on cars/grass. Been in Sutton Coldfield all day and despite the odd snow shower there was nothing until you approached Aldridge.

  5. Made a map like this for Wednesday's storm so I've done the same for the next storm which will affect the UK between Friday and Saturday. These wind speeds are based off what the Met Office wind maps say and the GFS Model. It shows when you can expect the highest wind speeds for each part of the UK.

Could be a long day of wet and windy weather then for me in South West Wales then...
