Well it's a good starting point.......
I guess... snuggling watching the radar together...how romantic
ETA: not me though...Im too excited to sit down. Purely spend my time near windows
-
It's times like this I wish I had a girlfriend to snuggle with
You want one that isnt so quite enthusiastic about the snow though... girls who adore the snow are generally to be found staring at lamposts, looking out of curtains and windows, watching radars, doing silly little dances at the sight of Snowflakes and posting on NW when Snow is forecast...not snuggling lol! My OH is not a fan of the snow for above reasons lol
-
ok so looking forward to the 12z and my wet patch...hopefully not resulting from crying lol
-
So louise lia on bbc has just shown nothing for east kent friday and all the snow showers saturday from east anglia noth!!, Really need a break ere.
I was in that dry patch too. That would be such an EPIC fail if that happened!
-
this doesn't look too shabby for our region (bottom one) Kent maybe get the light stuff but all day? I'll have some of that

-
Precip further East/stays same
-
It's only out to +48 hours on NMM currently, I can't post past there yet but you can see it swings right into the SE and your area - don't worry, I'll update later!
its ok I was joking. I'm quietly confident that we will ALL be happy this weekend
-
Oh dear Coast, I suspect some wont be fans of that!
like most of us in Kent *chooses to ignore* lol
-
Yes coast
You disappointed too ? I hate let downs
Things happen in 3's
OR, or orrrrr...3rd time lucky?! Keep the faith Sarah *hug*

morning all
Good to see things are looking slightly better for us again this morning. Phew...its emotional.
Each off my weather apps are showing something different so I'm not taking notice of anything, just going to wait, see and pray for the South East lol
-
I know what you mean
are you making puddles again?! Easy, they'll be issuing flood warnings for us next
-
ooooh its hard not to get excited now. Wouldn't it be amazing to see some scenes like this.... some family pics of Feb 1979. 3 years before I was born but I remember some good snowfalls in the 80s where we were snowed in and all of the family sleeping downstairs huddled together infront of the fire as our house had no heating apart from the open fires. Awww we can live in hope that someday it will happen again! *whispers to the Weather Gods....soon please*
-
Still 2 days away but it's encouraging to see the meto yellow warning for snow extended right over us now too in the SE. Apologies if this has been posted already
-
Excuse my ignorance Tilly, but how do you take those pictures? They are amazing.
Hee hee thanks
Erm, just get very close and take it. Its just a Panasonic Lumix TZ10, nothing special. I don't know how to use the camera properly yet (note to self must learn) I can't get the macro to focus on it so just put the camera as close to the Flake as possible, careful not to breathe on them or they melt lol!
-
I remember your photo from last year too of those lovely individual flakes..... So nice to see when the air is so cold....
Its probably really quite Sad but when I brought my new Garden Table I got Black specifically in case it was frosty and snowed again as Black shows up the Flakes better. The Fence that they were on last year was taken down so I had to get something to replace it LOL
-
Great photo Tilly, send it into BBC South East Today!
Thank you
I sent them some Snow Flake pics last Feb that I took but they didnt show them. Maybe worth another try though
-
Here is our Snowflake effort this morning. They were really v.tiny so hard to get a pic. I'd love to see some really funky shaped ones!!
-
morning everyone,
nothing happening here at the mo. We have had a little dusting as its sitting on top of the frost. Just waiting for it to get light so I can take some pics of the snowflakes if there are any decent ones out there
-
quite dark and very cloudy here but that blob is going to miss us totally...I think
-
Faversham is East kent....-
Central Kent is Ashford North up to the medway-
West/ north kent- Gravesend- Wrotham / hextable etc-
S
Thank you Mr Murr, Oh Wise One
-
Hi Tilly well if I was in Sittingbourne you would be East if I was in Whitstable you would be West lol only joking I don't have a clue except Swale Council starts from Faversham so I think you may be West Kent.
Thanks I googled and have found conflicting things. Some say East, some West and some Mid Kent. Bizarre. I think I'll go for Mid Kent although that never helps with the weather. You never hear anyone say "Heavy Snow for Mid Kent" do you. I think I'll have to move lol.
-
Afternoon!
I've been asleep so what did I miss?! We had a nice 2hour walk out this morning and it doesnt seem that cold ya know! dare i say it...even warm in the sunshine. hopefully it will get a lot lot colder soon then at least even with no snow it might seem like we are in a Cold Spell!
Really dumb question coming up... Is Faversham East or West Kent or is it slap bang in the middle and neither?!

realistically arguing over whether its anaprop or not lol
Anyway, its feeling colder now. Frost still nicely in place in the garden. Father Christmas failed to bring me a Weather Station so I dont have any temps grr but its chilly.
