Wind getting right up now and the rain is back after less heavy rain today here in leyland, lancashire.

Hot,humid and was sunny here earlier, overcast now but still dry and humid here in Leyland, north west Lancs.

Its taken about 25 mins to get to you then from here in Leyland, it was about 3.55pm finishing at 4pm when it passed through here.

Same here in leyland was like sheets of glass coming down the windows and flooded the garden!

Heavy hailstones here too other side of leyland !!!! It was very very heavy, no thunder though. Watching the news about Indonesia at the moment on sky news.

Well the wind picked up earlier the temp dropped and i went outside half hour ago and theres huge snowflakes blowing about in the strong winds here in leyland, it was meant to miss us but hasnt lol

Why is it all the B's have heavy snow coming down? My partner is on his way over the Pennines from Barnsley (snowing) , then into Burnely (snowing) then Blackburn (snowing heavy) then Bolton (snowing) !!!!! Then youve got us here in Leyland, really bitter winds,no snow and currently 7 degrees! think will change the name to Beyland and then it might just snow!!!

Awe thanks so much for that i thought Inverness was on the east coast? Lol my geography is terrible. Well at least they have their big coats for the chilliness! Saying that its quite cold here this morning, not as low as 2 degrees but definately a significant drop. Thanks once again for that.

Anyone in Inverness? My parents have just left from lancashire on a coacn to Inverness for a few days! Just wondering what the weather was like up there.

Its not snowing here lol its 12 degrees! Wishful thinking maybe?

Blimey all tne way over in leyland? Going overhead yeah,but on the ground and can hear it in leyland, i understand in Preston as you're closer. Certainly explain it though lol, thanks for the reply.

Well i know we get jets going over all the time from Warton and practising and testing but this is somehow different,especially 7.30pm in the evening, they could be going to Afganistan and what we are hearing are a few taking off at the same time, although the me the noise is static. I might have a look on the leyland forum and see if its been mentioned. Thanks for answering didnt know you'd heard it too. Hmmn they could be arranging a dumping of snow for us seeing we missed out! lol

Lol dont get me started on UFO's , its not an unidentified flying object as im not certain whatever this is is flying!! Lol cant even see anything,,,, i thought it wasa really powerful, odd rumbles of thunder lol, is the only way to describe it,but it definately isnt, more jet likebut like being underneath a jet going over head that frighten you to death lol, used to that as i used to live near an RAF base but this isnt the same. Sorry for going off topic though, still subject of noise in the sky, but not the weather lol...reason i asked is cause pip lives in the same town and maybe Lancashire Lass might of heard something being in Preston?

Raining here too. Wanted to ask you, sorry if off topic, but i know that leyland can get quite a bit for jets flying over from Wharton that can be heard, more so recently, but today has been odd as this afternoon as i was stood on the driveway can hear a very loud rumbling noise almost like theres a jet right above you hovering, it was very loud and lasted for about a couple of minutes, id never heard it before, couldnt see anything, then just now at 7.30 in the evening it has happened 5 times within the space of 10 minutes....just wondering if you heard it too? What is it?

Its cloudy and 4 degrees hete guys, dry as a bone though.

Lol what part of leyland you in? I cant see any snow and its still 8 degrees lol....your certainly not up a hill as leylands flat!

Its getting very dark clouds now, but the temp has climbed from 7 to 8 degrees! So no chance of snow lol

Lovely blue skies now clouding over here in leyland, getting colder and very windy!!

Yrs its very sunny,windy and clouds around the edge of the clear,blue skies! Lol

Its only forecasting ice for us, only just, cant see any snow for us on the met office.
