    Oh dear, i live in barnsley, not from there though,my partner is Nd hes tnere at the moment, im stopping with parents and my son in lancashire, so both going to get a suprise battering then, you think?

    Well the wind is really picking up again here, it had died down from this morning. I cant tell you what the wind speed is cause ive no way of measuring it, i just know theres some right nasty gusts now, i think its stronger than this morning. Im in leyland in the northwest, so whats the expected forecast for here, does anyone know?

    I know was supposed to be waking up to a covering of snow, even on low ground where i am, but its cold, temp dropping to 6 c at the mo, had a few gusts earlier but wind has died down now and got clearish,crisp skies at the mo. I notice the snow forecast from the met has gone and changed to wind and rain here in the northwest.

    Well its pretty nasty out there tonight here in north west, i would say the wind is more severe gales now than it was the other week and rain with it to, about 6 degrees down from nearly 12 c.

    Ok whats the point of even reporting it BBC? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lancashire-16242223 Well its miserable raining and dull and damp here, which im sure it is everywhere else now. I will looking at snow after christmas then, do you think? You know ive been saying for months now, this christmas is not going to be like the last two with the snow and big freeze.

    We had some very light, sleety,cold snowy rain before, about half hour ago but the skies cleared after that. Temp about 1.5 c here near the coast, well 20 mins inland from southport.

    Prefer a bath myself lol..sorry couldnt resist. Im hoping for a snow shower here but like i said earlier, someones nicked our clouds! Getting colder here 1.1 c crispy and crunchy underfoot.

    Ok own up, who's nicked our clouds?? Was all excited before after a very clear sky day and some clouds moved in and it was about 2.2 on the thermometer outside thinking snow was coming, just been back out and someone's half inched them lol..... It's now about 1.2 c here in Leyland.

    Thanks for your reply, i know what its like up that way, my grandad lived in saddleworth and i was born an bred in oldham. Im used to 6ft snowdrifts until moving to leyland lol

    Its about 3.2 here in leyland (south lancs) been a lovely,sunny but cold day, still slight bit of snow from the other day on the grass hut nowt to shout home about. Im hoping that christmas day its going to be ok cause my partner is travelling over here from barnsley in south yorkshire and driving right over the pennines, then going back in the evening.

    Dam it i have the same forum for my site but it just doesnt like my ipad! My last post i couldnt find the bottom of the coding, so what ive typed has sort of mingled in with your post Lancashire Lass, sorry about that, i know its a pain, but i cant change it, forgetting im just for once, not the admin lol

    Well here in Leyland (south lancs) we had really heavy snow yesterday, at first it wasnt sticking but then we got a decent covering. Today its all gone now due to the heavy rain and then slight sleety rain this aft. Just the odd fluffy cloud in a blue sky now, very cold though. Hey ho c'mon snow!
