awwww Stu, keep your fingers crossed it might just!
Well I'm glad something is! Nothing further down to the South, although as Harry pointed out, maybe the action is a bit later on?fingers crossed.
It has brightened up a tad here but still raining, had a fair bit in the past hour or so, just wish my weather station doofer was working grrrr, must remember batteries for it.

Perwetty flutterby Sunsetter, I saw one in the garden a couple of weeks ago, just sat on the Buddleia, stupidly I just stood there and watched it for about 5 minutes before I thought of getting my camera, as soon as I got back out there the little bugger had fluttered on

look forward to seeing them Pat
I have always been a bit bleugh where HDR stuff is concerned, but over the past year I have seen some stunning pictures, that show HDR off to it full potential.
I am not sure I have the patients for it but still want to give it a go.
-
To be honest, really not sure on the first one but loving the third one
Awesome stuff though Pat, I wouldn't have a clue on where to start doing stuff like that.
-
Thanks Kar, god knows what it was then, was really weird.

Now I know that was no hope in hell of me seeing it so far south, but there is something on the horizon that looks odd and greenish, phoned a friend who had a better view up on the hill, and he said he could see something greenish too! is it likely to be it or just us hoping a tad too much?

I am no longer part of the no storm club! nice storm passed over here about 3 accompanied by torrential rain that flooded local train station and the roads were like rivers, met office warnings for every county in the south east apart from Surrey!
-
Thanks Harry, I feel slightly better about not having a storm.... but only slightly.
-
you are not the only one to wonder, have just googled and a few of articles have come up about it.

I haven't heard any here for the past week, wonder if the cooler weather has something to do with it?

same here Louby....my dad did child abuse  got me to sit on a window and wathced a lightning storm in the year of our lord 1772....sorry I mean 1972..
though Im gratefull to him now
Yep sat at window for me too, watching the storms bounce between north and south downs.
That storm of 1972 was cause by the earth rebelling against me being born
-
I wouldn't say I used to have a phobia of storms but I had a great dislike of them, but thanks to my dad forcing me to watch out for lightning to show me how beautiful it was, the dislike was overcome by the want of seeing or photographing it.

I do hope you are right Jane Louise, I am feeling rather storm starved at the moment, haven't had a decent storm for a couple of years now
