15c overcast and a very slight breeze. Dry at the mo, but have had some rain albeit not very much, overnight.
-
We have had another little shower early this morning, but nothing to get excited over that is for sure, according to the local schools weather site 0.5mm
-
Well thanking you both kindly.
It looks like we have about 1mm of rain in the past four weeks in Surrey, not very much at all!
-
top temp of 22c with some very light rain earlier in the day, mainly overcast with the odd warm sunny moment.
-
We have had soo little in the past few weeks, I assumed it rained overnight at some point as the chairs outside were wet, but the ground didn't benefit from it at all, so it must have been very little. The ground is starting to crack here, but then again I do live on clay, so easily dried and cracked.
Any idea where I can get rain data for the past couple of months for my area?

stopped snowing here now and winds have picked up, current temp 0c , wonder if that is it for tonight.

Just a quick welcome to all the new members who have joined or posted for the first time today!
Snow is quite heavy here now, not sure if the band will feed across us or just drop below us in the next couple of hours.

sky news showed heavey snow for the weekend
Yeah I saw that too, they saying possibly (needs to be kept an eye on) another massive dumping of snow on the south on Sunday, I shall believe it if they are still saying the same on Friday and Saturday up til then
-
been snowing here all day, fairly small flakes most of the afternoon but getting bigger and heavier again now! That nice little stream seems to be dropping in my direction quite nicely  Temps still hovering around zero

Hi and welcome to netweather H, hope you enjoying the site as much as we do.
Very nice picture you have posted there the colours really pop out against the dark sky
Could you just pop you location into you profile, when posting it the weather areas it tends to help and you won't forever being asked where you are
Look forward to seeing more of you pics and posts.

Please post your snow reports for the end of November here
and just to start it off, Just got a call of my dad in Whitchurch in Shropshire, and they have just had a very light, short flurry of snow about 10 minutes ago.

Joe saw lightning to the southeast of us about half one to two this morning, heard not thunder though.

Being a young whippersnapper myself, I don't remember it.
I think that is why I find old weather events very fascinating.

Odd Goings On In The Sky

I have just seen the oddest thing ever.
A very thin line of what looked to be cloud stretch from east to west, racing across the sky from north to south. I thought initially it was shadow until I noticed how long it. I say it was cloud because that is the only explaination I have, although when it did pass over the tiny bit of blue sky we have it seem to vanish.
Took a couple of pics, sorry they are not very good. I didn't think I would have time to dash in and get my camera, so used my phone instead.
Has anyone seen this before? Can anyone explain what it was and why it happens?
Any thoughts would really be appreciated.
