bit of a mixed day so far, sunshine and heavy showers, current temp 12.4c winds have picked up in the past hour, currently showing at 11mph with gusts reaching 38mph although it could be slightly higher than that as my wind doofer isn't as high as it should be.

Current temp 12c drizzly and can see fog on the hills, and there were fog patches on the way home last night in the usual places, Horley, Salfords and Earlswood.

Was woken at 6am this morning by a massive flash followed by a kaboom that rattled the dressing table! It was only the one though *sigh*

Pete that's awesome! I love Newhaven when it's like that, if the weather is set to be winding during the week I think I shall have to take a trip down and try and get some shots. If I remember rightly the light house is about 70 feet in height, so that will give people some idea of how big the waves are as they crash over.

I was hoping to go down to Newhaven myself today Martin but didn't manage it :lol: looked to be a very high tide, I take it there was nothing big smashing into the lighthouse today? normally you can guarentee a few big waves if the winds are southwesterly or southerly. Had another little storm this afternoon, couple of flashes and grumbles.

nice little storm going here, lightning stike about one a minute, booming thunder, What a great start to a crabby day!
