At 130pm started hailing.... As nw bbc lunch forecast came on turned to snow, had to head down the hill for 2pm got covered.... Had 1-2cm enough to leave footprints in.... Hope peak gets lots of snow tomorrow! â„ï¸â„ï¸â„ï¸â›„ï¸

Heres hoping you snow starved southerners get snow sunday..... Lived in faversham, kent for 8 years, moved up here two years ago.... Had 6-8 inches snow one november when i was meant to be flying via stansted and there were no trains from fav.... Best i had in living in kent for 10 years.... Missed out on march 2013 up here as was moving from kent to here.... Which apparently was amazing snow drift wise.... Met have me down for this tomorrow.... But big pinch of salt..... Wind direction im in shadow of welsh mountains and you only have to look at manchester to the west of me for the rain shadow ive experienced this past week....

Can see the shower over oldham/mossley direction but dont think itll make it here....

Manor park, howard park, there are a couple of paths from around whitfield area to derbyshire levels/ glossop golf course might help if you have an os map? Or go to beehive/commercial pubs and ask the owners over a pint/ pub grub,they have lots of local knowledge and walkers/hikers that come in.....hoping tomorrow brings in the goods otherwise im off to ladybower on sunday for a walk myself....Or if it doesnt come to fruition, i might try bleaklow...

Bbc nw tonight forecast did have constant snow shower activity on the map for here, oldham area over pennines....ie the snow symbols looking constant on app/ met site..... Hoping.... -1c dew -2c.... Frosted and iced over..... Brrrr....

Looks good, more so the nw-se upper wind trajectory, as soon as this occurred this afternoon we had 45 min of snow/ graupel.... Much better!

Percentages at bottom....100% to 95% at various times tomorrow that it will snow plus cold....
