Merseyside is well within the red warning especially for the coastal areas as the wind is coming directly westwards later this afternoon -please take care the met office very rarely issue red warning as 90 mph winds are not nice . Remember the graphics on the website are not a direct cut off- just because you are the other side of the line been drawn doesn't mean your not going to have 90 mph winds-they don't stop at the line!!-it's like those people who think they are safe in an emergency situation by standing the other side of the police tape!!

You lot 'up north' of the region should count ourselves lucky to see anything white even if it is sleety-not much chance of anything wintry here in bootle only cold rain!!!

I personally am quite glad that Fridays event is downgrading-upgrades for blizzards and snow I will happily accept but winds of 70mph are quite damaging-more so than a dumping of snow

Met office going for a yellow warning of snow for our region updated at 7am this morning-the extent of the precipitation westwards and northwards is unclear according to them

Yes but a couple of inches in a town which doesn't usually get anything is very different to a more rural area where a couple of inches is the norm!-people here are not used to this kind of weather and,transport is quickly affected irrespective of the 'depth' of snow people are less prepared and haven't worked out how to get to work - many dont even have a pair of wellies!!!

Yes so please be pleased for us in the south of the region -many many many times have we been snowless or bypassed when others in the region get snow from the east or north- let us enjoy it while we can and 'celebrate' with us rather than complaining that you haven't got any !!.
